@Kinglevel each leg had outriggers. I would have hated to do it with no sleeve blocks like your talking about. Then all the lighting and sound would need to be hung off a man lift. Which would take a lot more time. This is a pretty standard sleeve block system used all over.

Yes we were a little annoyed by that. We told them the floor has to be completely clear during setup. The dancers even wanted to practice under the rigging. I don't think they understood the liability. We do this system every year for this show and they finally got the point.

@Kinglevel I have done it with four genie lifts and this is much much safer. especially going up 15+feet. sleeve blocks are always safer then genie lifts and can handle more weight.

@SoundExtremePro if you use genie superlifts you could easily hang all those lights + speakers in that box without a man lift. But as you say, saves time.
