that is exactly how I feel. We should be grateful with what we have now. Some people in this world don't even get the chance to live like we are. Sometimes, what I have now is more than enough.

I've been to Syria numerous times, I have relatives there of Romanian descent. Even before the demonstrations began, some people had problems with Assad. Thankfully, they all escaped to Turkey a few months ago.

Thank you Vice for sharing this.. I never really cared about the things that's been happening outside my country but this opened my eyes. These people just want their freedom and seeing that their own World Heritage strike just being bombed by their "Leader" makes me sick. I hope other powerful countries try to help them. God Bless the people who are suffering in Syria.

This entire series (meaning ALL the parts--not just "Part 2") do NOT just show the secular rebels. Especially toward the end, they absolutely DO show the radical religious extremists, contrary to what pretty much all the haters are alleging, and any sensible Westerner would realize that. Throughout the series, Vice never takes any position on the allegations against Assad. It is merely documenting what it can of the rebels. That ain't "propaganda"--that's journalism.

I know that the Syrians are looking at America, Russia and other country's for help but America is just now getting out of a decade long war and although we can help we need our troops to come home and cut military spending so that our economy will recover. We might take the trophy for strongest military on the block but were not the only ones that can help the Syrians in this time of crisis.

Tell me something, did do army? I've done 4 years of army, I served and still do reserve duty, as a medic+squad leader in a SF unit. Believe me, it's not as easy as you think to send your soldier to a fight while knowing some of them will get hurt or won't come back. It's the most hardest dissection, to decide for someone's else life. That is why the rest of the world just watching, no one wants casualties on from their population. Let them settle their inner crisis by them selves.

By a rampant division of Martyrs of Yarmouk brigade, who thought the UN team was supplying Assad positions (the convoy was out on a UN post supply run). Supreme council took control of situation, UN units were given to Dar'aa revolutionary council when their position in Jebeh was heavily shelled, who then managed to secure them back into Jordan under heavy Assad shelling. Learn your facts about events.

That's the conclusion you should have. In the eyes of an army, civilian casualties aren't important. It's not because armies disregard these that it's right, but that's the way things go.

vice has said several times, that they are not attempting to cover "the news", they just go to countries and citys with hectic shit going on, and report on what they see, that is what they do, and its extremely important, because it does not have an agenda to it for one side or the other, it just shows whats happening on the streets.

Hi friend,I'm not sure myself about the pro-Assad comments so I don't judge. What I and many others take issue with is lack of multiple perspectives and while more graphic than what you see in the mainstream media, still seems to imitate the bias and lack of crucial details that can be found elsewhere. Some say intentionally and some say accidentally.......but one thing is for sure, there is much more to this conflict than many people know.Your politeness and curiosity is refreshing.
