Your hear reggae music's influence in a lot of other musical styles, this song is a case of the other way around, as Groundation lets some funk and rhythm and blues seep into the fabric of this track. And it is done so well - not as if Groundation is trying to "cop" a style - rather, it is like the spirit of funk took the stage and took up a position in the band's line up and jammed along with the honesty and god-given talent of the musicians in the room - who in turn recognized and honored the Funk. The music descended and is clearly in control of this cut, and the musicians have entered into the inner sanctum of its presence, and given themselves to it. And the result is one of those rare moments we are lucky, as listeners, to get to experience. The keyboard solo was authentic and inspired. Special shout out to the genius horn section solo near the end, not since Chicago have we heard this level of composition, and maybe never in a reggae music song. If it doesn't give you the chills, then you have been numbed by the incessant pummeling of woefully average music for too long, and could benefit from a revival :) This is a rare gem. ~Unshakable Rob
