Looks like the original owner rerouted a creek when he put that road in. That is why the ditches on the sides of the road fill so fast. You are definitely going to need some type of culvert at all of the entrances going on to your property.

🤠 I like Gumby 's. Idea of using trailer beams to make a bridge, so I pray you have the time and wisdom what all you can repurpose and what goes into the dump , it's good you have a spot to camp for the winter, and your children are old enough to greatly assist in any dismantling and clean up. I know on my old mobile, the tin sides are thin, but I could still reuse them on a out building, tubs for watering tanks, cinks for outdoor kitchens, usually the floor juices are decent, You may want to debate, if you come upon good used insulation, do you keep and how do you store. That's a 😍 nice running creek you still have huge trees laying around could use as bridges if anything it's free material & great content.. Homestead Rescue had a few bridges that were great the Maine woods has a bridge that's awesome uses to cross on his truck.. Make sure you mark calendar as to how deep creek is with how much rain fall. For future reference 😅 glad you guys have each other to get things done.

Ugh, sure, but expensive! Little by little, I'm sure he will get it all ironed out. It's a huge process that takes time to learn the flow patterns, etc. We will also have to do the same on our property. 💯

@@B2GOG Nothing is cheap anymore. I know with the property I have, the previous owner had had loads and loads of sand brought in. Over 100 dumptruck loads. But he was putting a nursery in and that was back in 1940. When it rains bad I see other properties with laying water while I"m driving on my property with a 2wd hight performace truck and not getting stuck. One day at a time.

🤠 If. Your wanting to bridge the creek, is there a way you can set up a trail cam, and mark the trees in such a way, you can document, and log, it's rise and fall, may even want to see if monitor it's flow , that way, your engineers can recommend what is your best options.

🤠 FIRE WOOD. that which burns too quick is great for outside camp fires, it has a tendency to leave behind only ashes and not hot embers, If Sean can find you a good 55 gal steel drum, cut into half so you have the 2 ends, take the bungs out of the one end, when the day is giving way to bed time, then you can rake your campfire hot ashes together, place the bung end over top so if the wind comes up at night, your embers won't blow around, if on doubt, place a stone on top

We had a burn barrel in Arizona, and I placed a heavy grate on top to keep the embers from flying out. It worked great! We will make another one or two soon. 💯🎉
