So glad of the question on rooting hormone as I’ve bern wondering too! I always see hormones recommended on American channels but here in the UK all the products are called “rooting powder” not hormone, and if you look at the ingredients it’s natural stuff like seaweed extract. I had wondered if hormones were illegal here due to the stricter environmental and health and safety laws, or if somehow I’m just not finding it. That said, I’ve never had any issues rooting cuttings without.

Apparently you can use powdered cinnamon or honey. Hope if you try either it works. We can still get it in Oz but I don't use anything and don't have many failures. Good luck and enjoy your gardening.

My garden has a lot of Scrophularia nodosa plants I let spread around. Bumblebees adore them. One grew this year with yellow-green flowers, instead of the normal dark burgundy ones.

Thank you, Rosy for your videos. On the growth hormone question it is my understanding that alfalfa contains a growth hormone chemical called Triacontanol for root development. Not sure though, if that would help newly stuck cuttings.

The info about black spot on roses, you where saying that to plant salvia close to your rose would help, question is, is there any particular variety of salvia? I live in Kentucky
