Grounded - Infected Broodmother | Whoa Mode (No Heals)

God this was so hard, glad I was finally able to get it done! Another self imposed rule was to not use speed down debuffs.
Koi Armor was used to help getting double parries on the fast combo in phase 3. I started using Fungal Trinket on phase 3 cause I was tired of gnats exploding killing me out of nowhere, and also IBM's bomb projectile has some scenarios where RNG makes it impossible to dodge. But of course on this run I never got hit by explosions lmao.
This could've been much more enjoyable, however phase 3 has multiple scenarios of unfair RNG on this challenge. Most issues are due to the thick fog (she can screech from behind the fog and on phase 3 the audio cue comes in too late) and the gnats.

EDIT: This was done on 1.2.2, they've made the water pool give her buffs in 1.2.4 💀 I'm surpirsed the fight was under 4 minutes. Still, technically healed between phases 1 and 2 to apply buffs 🤓 This was very very rough, phase 3 without slow down from Infection or Smasher is pain. I was gonna give up and do this challenge on Medium instead, however that got cleared first try so I just pushed through lol

Yeahh I haven't bothered with another challenge run since they made those awkward buffs, which you can mostly avoid by being near the entrance anyways. Her crits being able to stagger you even when perfect blocking is really lame though

Thanks! And yeah she's a couple levels above everything else in the game, AND she got harder in the latest patch with the water pond giving her buffs. Seems like you have to fight near the entrance now to avoid her being constantly buffed, haven't experimented much with it though. The Spicy Safety mutation should still be really good for reducing the damage of her combo attacks though!

Parrying isn’t to hard tbh especially with spiders since they got an easy pattern to recognize

She attacks so fast that with a single block you can parry 2 attacks, it's a very tight timing even with the Koi armor though. Best way to parry it is to use to the infection debuff from the Toenail Scimitar to slow her down so you don't need that double parry. Either way the Spicy Safety mutation helps by lowering the damage of her bites
