I love your Master chief, one thing i would paint different is the visor: i would use liquid chrome color and then some transparent gold/yellow on top so its really reflectiv.

Yea but I don’t like that. I have painted in the reflections which arguably is more difficult than just chrome with a transparent colour over it. I did this on purpose because it takes more skill to do that than flat colours. And in my opinion looks better than flat colours.

Chitubox (at least the basic version) can get frickin' slow when slicing and/or saving a file. I'm talking over 15 minutes of waiting just for the file to save (full plate of a Photon Mono X 6K)! It's very random though. Sometimes it would just fly through things quickly but more often than not I find myself force quitting it and firing up free version of Lychee Slicer to do the actual slicing (I use Prusa Slicer for supports and hollowing). Lychee Slicer takes a fraction of the time to slice and export the file for printing...

@@DavidRelich I actually find chitu slices faster then lychee on my system, however when moving models and stuff like that lychee is smoother, so its 50/50 for me really on which is better overall

Beautiful work on Chief. Now I want one. Also it is weird to say but thanks for the ad. I didn't know chitubox had editing capabilities. Sometimes a simple edit is needed and can be a pain in the ass. I will give this a look.

GG as always I have two questions master :) 1. will you make a video on how to manage supports AFTER printing ? When my prints are finished the side with supports is always very soft, full of small gaps which are a pain to sand. sometimes this surface is also a little bit bended :( 2. 4K vs 8K ? do you think there is a real quality bump ? Do you plan to buy a 8K printer ? Thank you

1 I will try to do a video on this in future. 2 there is a massive difference between 2k-4K and 4K-8k most definitely don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. Same people who say there’s no difference between playing a game at 60fps and 120fps there is definitely a difference. I do plan on getting 8k printers when I can afford to. Just can’t afford the machines at the moment.

The firmware I installed was just the updated firmware from phrozen chitubox is the slicer and the new pro version requires you to update the firmware on your printer in order to use the pro version of the new chitubox update. Hope that makes sense?
