I have seen almost every tube made about Phil and his day. This is by FAR the best, most real, nicest, one made. Dam well done. My wife and I go every year we can. In the summer there is a 4-day music festival in the town. It is not sponsored by the Groundhog club but still a ton of fun. It is actually a 4- or 5-day event. There is a Ball like in the movie, a talent show, movie is shown on at least one day all day long, there is a party in Barclay Square in the middle of town where there is food, music, drinks,(beer and wine),snacks, crafts, stuff like that. You will meet members of the Inner Circle(top hat guys) There is a members reception with drinks and food, we are members too. This celebration is the most legal fun humans can have.

Where I lived in PA, on the Eastern side…ground hogs were all over digging holes under woodsheds and decks everywhere. One day I was all alone at my house doing some cleaning and I heard a tap on my patio door…it was in the back of my house which was secluded with woods even beyond that, so the knock kinda scared me. So I peeked around the corner so not to be seen but could see…a little groundhog standing on his hind legs like he was the Fuller Brush salesman. He tapped a couple of times. This was before cell phones so I have no picture proof of this event occurring as well as nobody believed me when I told them that it had happened either! 😂😂 Only me and my little shadow know…! 😊

Good Job Jordan! So that's Punxsutawaney. Bigger than Woodstock. Still remember to this day, the filming of the movie. Got Bill's autograph. Still have a piece of the fake snow they used... Big crowds were there when they filmed it. Bill got annoyed at the noise they were making Bill said; "Okay! We have a job to do, and you DON'T! So, please be quiet"! That was the scene when he steps in the puddle.

Haha, great story.. I can imagine how much the actors must be concentrating on good takes and how it would be annoying for the outside noise to get in the way.. plus, it kinda seems like something "movie phil" would say, so he was in character.. I know Patrick swayze said he had a similar experience on Ghost when he was filming a scene where he is dead and is trying to beat up and touch his killer, but he can't yet.. he said the extras were laughing when he was doing it, and he said "you think this is f-cking easy? I'm trying to convey something here!" Next take they were dead silent, and applauded after he nailed the take.

Well, all the questions I had about Groundhogs Day have been answered. I had often wondered what it was all about. He is a cute little fella, and I love his living quarters, he's a lucky little Groundhog! Thanks for the vlog, Jordan, I think it would be fun to go someday and look around!!! 🌼

Karenlee, now you must go to Punxsutawney on 2 Feb. Wife, and I go every chance we can. It is the most legal fun humans can experience. And it is actually a 4/5-day event. There is so much to do, dance like in the movie held 2 days before Phil does his thing. They through a talent show into the mix. Outdoor party with music drinks and food in Barclay Square downtown. You can join the Club and attend the members only reception with Phil. And on at least one day they show the movie all day long. Best part is all the so darn nice people you can ever meet. People come from all over the globe. We met folks from Germany, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Ireland, from every state except Hawaii. Drawback: there is basically no place to stay in Punxy so you got to book at least 25 min outside of town in Dubois, Brookville, Indiana, PA. Mid-week minimum 22 thousand attend. Weekend 30 thousand plus. Get serious warm clothes SERIOUS Warm. Not Wal-Mart but L.L. Bean stuff. That quality. And places to eat are not expensive at all. Unless you purchase a parking pass or are part of the official party you have to take shuttle b us up to the Knob a 1 and a half mile distance away from town. Deb my wife and I are going nest year if we are alive. Book your room today! You GOT TO GO!

Any list of 100 best films that does not include it is a waste of time...and I'll say that over and over and over and over again. "Well, what if there is no tomorrow? There wasn't one today." Cool video Jordan! I follow Groundhog Day pretty closely, my birthday is on 2/4. We attended the prediction 8 years ago , it a blast. It’s just a day to get rid of cabin fever and have fun. I helped Weather channels Jim Cantore over that split rail fence via a bear hug , 😂. You need to come some year and spend the day.

this is my home its a wonderful place to live its quiet and really not much for crime and rarely violent i couldnt think of a better place to be but i can say never have i ever went to see it on feb 2nd i have been up there but not on the 2nd lol its far to cold i lived here my whole life it just never interested me to go stand out in the cold to see a ground hog i relocate 4-5 a summer from out of my garden little eating machines they will wipe out a whole row in minutes

The annual groundhog festival is held in town where that stage is at. The stage is used for music now throughout the summer and during the festival.
