After being introduced to claymotion juggling from your more recent tutorials, I was looking for some other tricks and randomly ended up clicking on this one. I did say, oh I like they way she juggles compare to other claymotion videos I've seen. And then realised it was the same juggler KZbinr I'm spending my quarantine with, though a few years back... It would be lovely to see these tricks explained one day. Thanks for your videos Taylor! I really appreciate them.

It's definitely a personal preference. I've had some people say they think 3 ball claymotion is very boring and too simple (like you), but I've had others say that they prefer the look of the 3 ball patterns, because they are more start/stop oriented. It just depends on the person :)

The term "Claymotion" is really loose, it's hard to pin down an exact definition on it. I consider claymotion a type of juggling that use start/stop motions or multiplexes, and emphasize movement. It's just a personal preference I think. :)

yes, maybe thats it. there are too many moments in those patterns where you could take a break because there are no balls in the air. some people like that, some dont. i think its most useful as an addition to 3 ball freestyle, because of the amount of transitions it allows. that would be enough reason to work on those patterns, but i cant help it, when there is no ball in the air that i need to react to then juggling loses the flow that i like about it.

i cant help it.... i get the impression that claymotion is for 4 or more balls. the basic claymotion patterns with 3 balls just look too simple. maybe its because i now practise 5 ball split multiplex using claymotion throws and catches, and then some of the 3-ball patterns just look like less than half of that pattern.
