The blood thing was extremely smart. You can notice a small bump like a balloon on Sarah's chest before they go on stage (all the dancers had it at different parts of their bodies). Then at 2:50 she put pressure on it so it bursted and the fake blood came out. That's how the rest of the kids also turned out having red stains on their costumes by the end of the dance. I'm surprised they didn't mention it before the competition. It was a pretty good move.

This is one of the best things I've seen in a long time. So heartfelt. So meaningful; and so much more advanced than the OG group was in the first few episodes, but I think most of these kids are a few years older than the OGs were when they started. Still, this is just such an artistic, emotional, and overall incredible performance. Also, I too loved both Sarah and Brady's facial expressions in particular for this routine, but they're all so talented and amazing in their own right.

You can kind of see that Savannah (if I’m correct) could not make her thing bleed. They film the dances twice and then they mix the two versions and you can see that in some shots (where the camera is further away- I’m guessing that’s the time they did it for the actual competition) her dress was all white and then in the close up shots it had blood all over it

Hafsa Sharif they had something in their leotards. You can see it at 1:10 when they at backstage getting ready to go out look at Sarah for example. It probably bursts when they squeeze it because when one of the girls (I don’t remember who) did the trick on Brady’s back hers got squished and the blood went on Brady’s back as well

1:09 they aren’t wrong. She can’t do it again. From the very first episode of season one, it wasn’t about how amazing the girls were dance wise. It was about the audience falling absolutely in _love_ with those kids. Chloe, Maddie, Mackenzie, Paige, Brooke, and Nia, they’re the reason that Abby made a name for herself. They were just a few kids from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and now we’ve got Miss Broadway-Nickelodeon-Greatest Showman over here. It’s not relatable. People loved those six girls because they were just figuring it out. They were young and living their childhood one day at a time. Some of them were friends from the crib. This is not that. These are seven random kids from all over the country with some stuck up moms. There’s no relatability; there are no friendships; and everyone’s just out to get each other. I used to think Melissa wanted her kids at the top, but I’m a little concerned that some of these new moms would hang their kids in the backyard if they don’t win. So no, it doesn’t matter how amazing these kids are; it doesn’t matter how many times they win. None of that matters if the audience doesn’t like these kids.

YES! in the original season, i loved the episodes where the girls excitedly and nervously audition for a broadway agent, or seeing their excitement when they got their first music video. these kids already all have agents and have all worked professionally. seems to me like most of them are only on the show at this point for the fame. why would someone whos working on broadway go back to competing? its a huge step down.

[insert hand clapping emojis] i absolutely agree. the first season of dance moms had a spark that can't be replicated. the girls & moms all knew each other for years even before the show began. the girls were trained at the aldc since they were two to three years old. it was just so much more *organic* back then. that's what made it work... this new dance moms is just completely contrived and i doubt it will see the same success the original dance moms had.

THIS WAS CRAZY!!! I generally don’t comment very much, but I have to say that this is one of the most beautiful dances I have ever seen. All of the dancers were beautiful, of course, but the two girls at 3:42 (Pressley and Sarah, I believe, but I don’t know these new dancers as well yet...) took my breath away with their tragic emotional portrayal of the story. And from a choreography standpoint, I LOVED that ending when Brady was turning to the heartbeat! I can’t wait to see what this team does in the future!
