My dear brother, ibn Masud is not just a normal companion. The prophet peace be upon him said about him: "Whatever ibn Masud narrates to you, then believe in him." Tirmidhi 3799. The group dhikr narration is mentioned in sunan ad darimi and has been authenticated by al haytami

The Hadith says to follow the guidance of Ammar (ra) and to believe the truthfulness of Ibn Masud and both are in reference to their deep knowledge. It is not a permit to take everything that he did ijtihad on or if that was the case then there are a few times where the caliphs and companions disagreed with him and the scholars took the opinion of the caliphs and companions on those matters

Alhamdulillah in most places in Malaysia, it has become embedded and ingrained into the culture that we make group dhikr and du'a after every congregational salah, such that it's considered odd if it was silent after salah.

Ignorant people contending with opinions is not an authoritative source to derive shariah from. Its well known that there is a group from the muslims that prop up obscure and minority opinions as the only opinion and have created contention where there used to be none.

It is absolutely not contentious in the Islamic world. The vast majority of scholars agreed that it is permissible, and this is practiced in every single Muslim country. The only ones who argue about this are Muslims who learn their deen on the internet, especially in the West, and those are a tiny minority who make a lot of noise

Quoting as-Suyuti on this lol. The dhikr outloud that Ibn 'Abbas mentioned wasnt in unison, and ironically, we find sufis today making group du'a after salah, rather than dhikr outloud as the sahaba did. The narration doesn't say it was due to multiple groups. Anything to avoid the sunnah with certain people. The Moroccan zawiyas filled with bid'ah and calling upon the dead? Sciences (tajweed, usool) being formulated and new terminology being developed are not 'ibaadah. They are not worship. The concepts already existed, and anybody that has studied these sciences (especially علوم الآلة) knows this. التتبع والاستقراء. As for hajj التلبية بصوت جماعي is not allowed. Same with eid takbeer.
