The forged signatures in combination with incomplete forms may by canvassers upping up their stats, or citizens that find it fun to mess with the process (One or the other are comitting a crime). This would be single incidents - and frankly the state does not need help with that, so why pass a law that that citizens can create administrative effort (registering anew) for other voters. The "objectors" are Republican busy bodies with too much time at their hand that make a judgement about the registration of people they do not know. TEN of THOUSANDS. And almost all of them are frivolous (or would be part of an automatic and bulk purge where they look for inactive voters - which is less time consuming for election board staff). If a person has moved and is still on the voter roll - they will be found out if they vote in another district or state and try to get a mail ballot from their former place. The ballot would also be sent to the _former place._ So that would require that family still lives there and passes on the mail ballot. - In person double voting would be quite an effort and they would found out, too. This does not happen in reality. The voters that have moved are useless in the data base but there is no harm in them being there. The next mass purge of inactive voters by the state will remove them in a time efficient manner. There was the attempt to have an U.S. wide data base - Republican states have pulled out of it. With that they could make it very easy for civil servants to register a voter that moves to another state, and checking for attempted double voting would also be very easy. But then Republicans would run out of a popular lament and argument for their voters how easy it is to vote double. How Democrats allegedly do it. Turns out whenever there is one of the rare cases, they are of course caught - AND they are MAGAs. As they believe the lies they really think it is easy and some try then to "level the playing field". And then they get caught and we hear about it. Example: for a frivolous objection by other citizens: A man had started a barber shop and because money was tight he had no apartment. Black man, living in a predominantely minority area (of course ! they target such areas). He slept in the shop, showered in a gym, and maybe he had a small coffee kitchen in the shop to warm up food. Later he could afford an apartment but never changed the address (was in the same district). When he registered to vote he gave his business adress because that was the only address he had then. And that address still worked for him - even if he would have asked for a mail ballot. He is also a veteran and was pissed ! He is one of TENTHOUSANDS of "objections" to existing registrations. And you bet these "concerned" Republican busy bodies single out "ethnic" names and they are likely also trained in which areas to harrass voters. In some states (like Georgia) it can be quite some effort to get back on the voter rolls. And of course the civil servants are overwhelmed when they have to process that many objections. Which are frivollous. Contacting the voter informing them that they will be purged it they do not respond and show up in a hearing, etc. etc.

All the polls will deliver their final election flashdrives back to a central point. If you need to cheat, you need to hack the dongle as it is certified before the election and cannot be altered. Stealing dongles allows for the certified ones to be swapped out. 47 dongles were stolen in Philadelphia (also election laptops) in 2020.

From Pennsylvania. Three counties in Pa have issues with fraudulent registration forms from this company. He should be brought in for questioning. Have runners jailed for hands on participation. A year in jail for each fraudulent form is appropriate. Cut a deal with the runners to reduce sentence to one month for each form then jail for the principals.

1:28 they group MUST accept all registrations. So if a citizens wants to mess with the process because they think it is fun, there is nothing they can do about. Dropping off lots of registrations is not nefarious, obviously that was a last ditch effort. Badly organized because it is hard for civil servants to process that. Forms that are hard to read and / or a bit rugged - that again is bad organisation (the people that hand out the forms should see to it that they are properly filled, kept clean and are easy to read). Sadly a lot of U.S. citizens are functionally illiterate (and some may have really bad handwriting), so helping them to fill out the form while the voter tells them what to write down may speed up the process. If the law does allow assistance, that again is not cause for concern. The canvasser STILL has to get the data from them. Name, birth date, addressm likely SS number etc. And they need the signature (as sample). Sure these voters better get their mail ballots so they can figure out the written text without time pressure. Probably they will rather vote straight ticket or only the main candidates, so not all to sophisticated. But the opinions of many voters and what they really know about politicians and policies are not too sophisticated either.

The problem is, these companies pay workers by how many registrations they get. They are seasonal employee with very little training and many have no loyalty to the company they work for or care about accuracy they are just out to get an easy paycheck. The companies that do the hiring many only have a few employees and don't check the forms for accuracy. This is not a partisan issue but it does cheat people out of their right to vote unless they find out with enough time to fix the issue. What probably happened in this case was all of these registrations were dumped on the few employees that knew what they were doing and they did not have the time to check the registrations so they just dumped them off at County office to them sort everything out. There should be penalties for this type of behavior.

It's only being sensationalized now in the news because one guy couldn't accept he lost 4 years ago. The media isn't doing it to raise awareness but bc it'll get clicks. But all it does is enflame those who are convinced there's more and it's widespread and that's how you get firebombs in mailboxes and another Jan 6th in the making filled with people convinced any vote not for their candidate was fraudulently cast.

In Canada, we have exactly ONE organization in charge of ALL aspects of a federal election: non-partisan, non-profit, Elections Canada. Each Province has a singular version of that organization, titled “Elections (name of Province) and we’re done. Not an industry, only dedicated to the smooth running of an election that takes IN TOTAL, 60-70 days. What in the hell does the US have going? It’s a mess.

Basically the same system in Australia - independent electoral commission at the federal level for federal elections and state based ones for state and local elections. No gerrymandering, no voter suppression, no mischievous litigating and over 90% voter turn out. We have an advantage over Canada with our use of ranked choice and proportional voting and an elected senate.
