Secondly SCP is a collaborative project ...so multiple mythos sometimes overlap and create a complete series which then becomes a hub or cannon . Also multiple cannons can be present side by side . As they might be proceedings of an alternate universe or multiverse inside the tree of knowledge ( an example is the black queen , acidverse and oroburos cycle ) also sometimes multiple authors collaborate to create a particular arc ( like the algadda arc done by metaphysician , sunnyclockwork and 049's author which sheds light into the fall of algadda , the origins of the hanged king and the relationship between 049 and 035 who is a masked lord of algadda ) also multiple GOI hubs are there ( like Jacob conwell's Anderson robotics arc or Hermann fuller's circus of disquieting hub ) which sheds light into each GOI and their interactions . So read the mythos and piece together the puzzle ....do not be a fool and say tales are non cannon as there is no cannon and cannon present both at the same time .

Some GOIs are nice, to be honest. A lot of them genuinely work to better the lives of humanity, but then they get bullied by groups like the GOC and SCP Foundation because their methods are anomalous.

To be fair I can almost count truly benevolent GOIs on one hand: the SCP Foundation, the Global Occult Coalition, the Horizon Initiative, the Three Moons Initiative, the Unusual Incidents Unit and the Manna Charitable Foundation. Of those, all but Manna and the UIU are too big to be stopped by some other GOI and mostly work together. The UIU is known as incompetent for good reason, although they are sometimes allowed to do their thing. As for Manna, see my comment above.

Sometimes I don't understand why so many organizations (especially the GOC) are so distrustful of the Foundation, but then I remember that although they seem to be helping Humanity, they are so secretive that nobody can be truly certain. The GOC is just as bad (if not worse) than the Foundation when it comes to anomalous rights, but everyone trusts them because they're generally more transparent. If you assist the Foundation, they'll most likely wipe your mind. If you help the GOC they'll most likely let you go with an NDA

Never really got into SCP coz I found some of the SCPs mindbogglingly ridiculous and so didn't know where to start. Thanks to this intro to the various GOIs outside of the SCP Foundation tho ... it actually makes the SCP universe sound extremely serious and realistic. Been into SCP Foundation as a result. That said, mind if I reupload this elsewhere so I could intro the Foundation to my mates ?
