Love Cambodian songs in the 60's & 70's ... Check out Rod Sereysothea, the queen of Cambodian music. Sadly she died by the hand of the Khmer Rouge.

It’s spelled Ros* I’m assuming auto correct got you tho haha. I love her music, my wife is Khmer and we named our daughter Sothea (compassion) not only because we like the name but also as a omaĝe to Ros Sereysothea. Very sad about her death and the millions of others. My wife’s parents fled Cambodia during that time, the Khmer Rouge murdered my MIL’s first born and husband, my FIL freed her from captivity and fled to America and they fell in love, having birth to 4 girls and 1 boy.

Ros Sereysothea was a main staple in the music I grew up listening to, she is a legend. I still listen to her music and it never gets old.

We got to see and meet Dengue Fever at the (2005?) World Music Festival in Milwaukee, then a year later at The Empty Bottle in Chicago. Incredibly fun band and great people.
