Groupers day with Zenaq Fokeeto Ikari FB63-1

Hello once again my friends
I had lots of fun this day catching some great fish and diferent species of groupers. Also it provided me the oportunity to show you how the realm of the predators work underwater!

@@denmasyun Thanks my friend 😀💪💪 But the truth is, that it looks more easy than it actually is to find some nice fish..😂 Making this my daily job it makes it easier to find really good fish in these fishing grounds and keep up with the changes along the year in order to be on top of them. Otimo video como sempre. Agradeço mais uma ajuda. Já vi referência a este assunto num video anterior que agora não o consigo encontrar. Tem a ver com o uso de assist simples. Em que situações , tipo de jigs ou condições de pesca usa só um assist simples em cima e em baixo ou mesmo um só em cima. Muito obrigado. Saúde e continuação de boas pescas. Grande abraço

Muito obrigado amigo 😃👍. Eu apenas uso singles em duas ocasiões. A primeira é na técnica de speed jigging onde a movimentação do jig é feita na vertical de baixo para cima. A segunda é na profundidade, quando o intuito é tentar evitar ao máximo as prisões no fundo e também evitar a captura de espécies mais pequenas como cantaris, rascassos ou comedía. Pois o objectivo é a captura de peixes maiores como garoupas. Um abraço e boas proas 😀🤜🤛

mr Luis hello from Greece , thank you for all the knowledge you share with us . I have an ikari FB 63-1 also and it writes max pe 1,5 , so how/why you use pe 2,5 on this rod? I can understand the jig weight 180 gr (even if the rod says max 120gr ) , me personally the heavier jig i tried on this rod was 160gr but i can't understand why if you want a higher pe (2,5) and you go after groupers , you dont use an ikari with more power and you use the power 1 . Thank you in advance for your answer. ps great jig- great colour , CB1

Hello Tzortzis 😀👍👍 Thank you and its a pleasure to help and pass my experience 😊👍 first of all i use PE#2.5 with this rod and all of the three rods because its the balance i need in order to maintain the verticality and still manage big fish. The spec on the rod tells you that the max it supports is PE 1.5 but only if you use the rod to fight the fish. But if you use the rod mainly to work the jig and fight the fish with the reel you can combine both the action you want and need from any rod with a higher braid resistance to fight fish. I am using this model because i want the action that it provides me with the conditions and depth at that moment. Increasing the power of the Ikari will increase the action on the jig making it faster and that is not what i want and need to atract the groupers. Dont be afraid to try heavier jigs with any rod no matter the brand, and as long as the rod blank can responde pulling the jig up, that means that the rod can still perform that weight at that depth and conditions. Try and see for yourself what happens if you increase the jig weight and shape on your FB63-1 at the depth you are using 160g. Its crucial to understand that the rod and jig tecnique and the fighting tecnique are two diferent things, and that we dont need to increase the power of a rod to catch big fish. The rod power is only for jig control and luring fish to strike the jig. I hope this helps and if you need any help im here my friend 😀👍👍 Tight lines and take care

😁👍👍 I am now using the braid from gosen PE#2.5 and its 0.26. Very nice..soft..it does not soak of water..resistent to knot..very good breaking strenght for a 0.26 and its thin and sensitive. I dont know how the other diameters for this line are but i am enjoying the line so far. I also use yo-zuri or duel PE#2, PE#2.5 and PE#3 depending on the ocasion. What PE# are you using?

Have you tried other braid with 0.18 diameter to find out if the problem is the braid or if you need a higher PE?
