Grouse Hunting Colorado

Sometimes you have to toss the Mossberg 935 in the F150 and drive up into the Colorado high country with your GSP (German shorthaired pointer) riding shotgun. Early fall in Colorado can be hot, cold, sunny, snowy or rainy so finding the right altitude is important to finding the grouse.

Pissing in the dog’s mouth is kinda gross but after I saw you do it it made sense. If it’s thirsty then I guess it’s ok. Never seen that before.

Where in Colorado? I hunt Roosevelt and Arapaho Natl. forest in north central CO. Lots of birds there.

I'm in Arapahoe. My best area burned a few years ago. Haven't been able to consistently get into them since.
