O think grover was trying to say the first custom order custom shop but that's not true, he is forgetting about the other california shop, not in fullerton, not in corona, I mean BC Rich... they go back to what 1969? and they did a lot of custom order custom shop work, they had the US shop in caliu then the shop in juarez as well, and they would make anything you could think of... so thats not correct Grover.. the only thing I can say is maybe the first components perhaps, when Floyd Rose came aboard with the bridges but then again you had Kahler as well so? one of the first? I'll buy that.. one of the best, I'll buy that too, early Charvel Charvels are very nice instruments at a time when Fender was really putting out some BS.. CBS that is... wasn't really till 82 or so Japan made the JV's that everyone went WHOA WTF and that stirred a lot of folks up and things changes.. sadly and I mean that from the bottom of my heart Charvel sold out.. just a shame, I honestly would have rather seen Japan get the name than who has it today, they are destroying the name and the brand.. why can't you guys all of you get together and create a company that employees can one day own then keep it going forever, get the name back and start making those early quality, Charvels, Boogie Bodies guitars.. even early Jacksons were nice, again, rather see Japan have the JAcksonbrand than who owns it today, just a shame generic garbage on par with chinese knockers.. joke why dint you guys put ryders in the contracts, NO SUB PAR MODELS! they make a $159 dinky FFS! then they make a wanna be decent one a Phil; Colins is like $7k FFS? dafugg is wrong with them and whats wrong with the person buying these things? tell you what, I have one of the first Dinky Rev. Jackson ever made, I'll put it again ANY jackson phil collen or any custom shop jackson they make today, or ever made, not saying aesthetics, it's the purplish solid how could it compete with graphics or whatever? I am talking FEEL, PLAYABILITY, WEIGHT, STABILITY, and TONE! it will wipe the floor with today's Jacksons, nothing against Collen he got the bug too what can I say but man, the parent of those companies are really doggin it up.. I read a bunch of employees complaints a while back year ago or so, yea they are on the web if you look, about 100 Ex Fender employees put their thoughts on the wall and most of em, 98% said TOO MUCH MANAGEMENT MAKING TOO MUCH MONEY not doing anything but making everything more complicated than it needs to be... oddly enough? same for Gibson... Gibson employees say the same thing, and what's happening to them? Fender is soon to follow suit, with covid they cannot be doing well, maybe they file and you can get the brands back cheap? maybe Charvel, Jackson, Kramer, Hamer and Washburn can gang up on something.. that be cool

Hey Dean I been wanting to try and see what the magic is all about with these early charvels and jacksons. Is there a place near Buena Park that carries some of these vintage guitars ? I been very curious

I’m not happy that Wayne CHARVEL doesn’t get any acknowledgement at all. Bad blood aside, it all started as friends. Just my opinion.

They don’t make Charvels like they use to back in the day. Now they are complete crap.
