@dividale28212 жыл бұрын
For those not in the know, Bill withers is the one who wrote the stong, and Grover Washington helped produce it. All saxophone was done by Grover whereas Bill did the vocals. The song was released in 1980, and Grover Washing Jr. Unfortunately died in 1999. Bill withers lived until March of 2020 and unfortunately died. I'm Japanese and can't speak any English. Therefore, this sentence is written by Google Translate. I don't understand English, so I can't completely understand the fine nuances of the lyrics. However, the meltingly gentle melody of this song and the beautiful rainy singing voice dripping on the summer flowers inflate my imagination and take me to the most wonderful scenery I have ever seen. .. When I listened to this song, I shed tears with music for the first time in my life, and I was glad that I had lived so far.

Timeless, this was made before I was born and I'm still here listening, this is a song that will be listened to 10,000 years later, the collaboration of such perfect musicians and such a perfect singer is extremely beyond hard to come by these days because in these times all of the music is made from a computer, and that is good sometimes but this original style is in its own league, old but goldy.

This brings back such a vivid memory from when this song came out, 1981. I was 13, it was a warm summer day in a small farm-town, middle of no-where, it had showered all morning, around noon the sun came shining through and it was one of the most beautiful days. I hopped on my bike and went riding through the country roads, smelling the incredibly fresh air, green grass and the apple orchards in full bloom. 41 years later I still ride my bike just as much as I did back then, but now I smell the ocean. This song still makes me feel that awe and mystery of life
