Your hair is soo gorgeous love 😍😍! I have a question, how much did genetics influence the length/ health of your hair, or would you say for you it was more you taking care of your hair than genetics?

Hey love thank you so much for watching, and for the compliment☺ I want to say it both, because both sides of my family have quite a lot of hair ( especially my mom's. From my dad's side it's only a few people to be honest) so I might have gotten that the good genes. But the thing is when I was young I used to really struggle with having nice hair. In fact I had none (except for a certain period when my mother took care of my hair herself). My hair was relaxed, so on top of all that chemical damage, I did not know how to take care of my hair. It was bad that as a result my aunt transitioned me from relaxed to natural(afro). That's when I started seeing good results. But my hair really started flourishing when I started taking good care of it myself. This was around high school. whenever I'd damage it I'd cut and start over. So you see, even if genetics did influence how healthy and long it is, if I don't take good care of it all of that is out the window. So I'd say mainly it is because I take good care of it. Maybe I might also have an advantage because of genes. Thank you for this question.❤ It's actually a nice topic for a video, night steal it😁😅
