I grew my hair from a bob to hip length in 2 years and my two tips are DO NOT COMB OR BRUSH MY HAIR WHEN WET. like not at all, i let it air dry for about 30 minutes and then detangle. 2nd Just leaving it alone. Whether it be leaving it in a protective style or just dont touch up that often (instead just do any heartless styles if its looking crappy)

I have been natural my entire life, and because my curls are veeeeery fine, my family never tried to relax my hair like they did with my cousins. But I still flat ironed my hair during highschool years, definitely did a lot of damage because I flat ironed my wet hair! Years after I stopped and kept it completely natural for years. I also never cut the heat damage and my curls came back eventually. Anyway while I like the curls I have to wet my hair a bit daily and re apply product (either leave in or gel) because my hair absorbs all the products. If I dont I get frizzy. So I have to manipulate my hair every morning. Then have to wash once a week because of the amount of products i have to use daily. When I straighten my hair, it only takes time on wash day but after that I can go a week and a half to two weeks without washing it, and dont have to get my hair wet in the morning. And the only products I have to reapply are my oils or serums. Don't have to manipulate my hair much at all. So yeah definitely much more gentle! I wrap my hair at night, or sleep on a low bun and put on a silk or satin cap. I have decided that, if done correctly, I can heat style and retain my length! Plus olaplex helps me too xd

I'm just leaving it as it is and use some products to style it...nor do i wash it that much cuz they are dry as hell , they can be like this over a week or more and no one could even tell..i guess that too dry hair plus the friction on t-shirt breaks the ends too.. I've been thinking about wearing my hair straight more often because I'm loving the results. What I've been doing is letting my hair air-dry then blow dry like you do then flat iron. My hair last pretty long but if I need a tough up, ill just flat iron gently some pieces on Sunday for the week. Do you think uts too much to touch up once a week to freshen it up? I can probably get away with just doing the blow dry wash day once a month.
@CoraliesCloset3 жыл бұрын
Great! I’m glad you’re loving your results🙌🏽 it all depends what works for your hair and if you’re prepared for any negative effects it could have on your curls/hair. I personally don’t touch up regularly only if I really need to which doesn’t happen often and sometimes between washes I want curls so I add those in. I try not to do more heat than that

My hair grows faster the more often I semi wash it. Shampoo only to get products and dirt out and use a light conditioner or protein conditioner when I decide to wet it especially in the hot months when my scalp will be steaming. I'm Caribbean and gets headaches and migraines almost everyday from June to August so I need the thorough cool down. And I can't moisturize too well cause it gets in my pores and causes breakouts which I hate that only started last year I rarely broke out in my teens and I'm breaking out more in my 30's 😢

My hair has been in shoulder length for a year and half ..i wash it once a week (cuz my hair is already too dry and it doesn't really get oily so i don't have to wash often) and i tried to blow dry it once a week too but it didn't work cuz again my hair is super dry and curly and if i don't blow dry it it would be all over the place 😢 ....i tried the coconut oil also made my hair feel more dry so i sweitched to other oils. ANYWAY i just wanted to say thag i tried everything but my hair still isn't growing and it making me feel so disappointed and frustrated 💔💔😮💨🥺

how often would you get your hair trimmed?
@CoraliesCloset4 жыл бұрын
Omg I’m the worst at getting trims. I can’t remember the last proper one I’ve had. I sometimes give myself ones but it’s a teeny-tiny one lol

I have low porosity hair and my hair seems to not respond well to coconut oil, its makes it dry. Is that normal. I have slightly wavy fly away causian hair unfortunately x

Hi! Hiii! Ohh that’s so sweet of you to say☺️ thanks so much, I really appreciate it! These are the tips that helped me...everyone’s hair is diff and may need diff things but I think to a certain extent they can benefit most people and you might see some results. You said you straighten your hair regularly, how often is that?

Uhh I wash my hair everyday and if not every other day. Not cuz I want to but I have volleyball practice everyday and get really sweaty I also use the revlon almost every 2 days Bc I hate my natural hair I’ve tried everything but it puffs up and my curls are frizzy

Try the natural shampoo bar from 22nd century natural hair woman. It's gentle enough to use daily and you can clarify every now and then if you feel buildup
