Better to do with the knee version (+weight if needed) to negate the lateral pressure off the knee in the extended version. The knees do not respond well to lateral pressure.

I've developed my legs like crazy with these. I hit my end range too. But I'm about to max out the machine in a few weeks, and don't know what i should move on to.

How about adding in a tempo? You could even do weighted Copenhagen raises.
