Hiii Vinny, Growing sandalwood by individuals was banned until 2002. Today, we can grow the trees but it is illegal to cut and harvest the wood, use it or sell it in the open market. And, I personally think growing from seed is not a bad thing.

Bonsai theft from nurseries is common worldwide. This is just a small concern i am expressing. Of course, you are a better judge of your ground realities :-)

Very nice video. Finally I was able to grow seeds just under 15 days. I bought seeds from amazon. One thing I would like to point out here is that we should cover the seeds in the dried grass or hay. This fastens up the germination (4 seeds out of 20 seeds). I tried with no hay covering, and only 1 seeds out of 20 germinated. SO guys, please cover the seeds under hay/dried grass/Durva in order to get faster seedlings. Also, I used compost is very important. Soil must not be clay, it should be loosened by cocopeat.

In winter it is quite normal, but in case plant is not started growing well in February, than there must be some problem, like not fertilized well, or some sort of insect or fungus.
