I love tea. Next year I’m going to try to grow some tea herbs plants. By the way I’ve learned that you should always steep teas covered as some of the nutrients will evaporate with the steam. It should be covered to maximize the benefits

Nice! And yeah I actually have a couple videos on tea steeping just didn’t follow my own advice this time 😅

Funny enough I was just planning the set up for my herbal tea garden next year and I was looking up how to ferment these leaves to make black tea. Thanks for this

Nice video. I had a small cameillia sinensis but had to give it away when i moved. Had a replacement but didnt realise the nursery had basically given it root rot (pot was heavy and wet and i didnt realise it at the time i bought it). Looking for a new one, but havent seen any available lately. Do these plants suffer from too much sun sometimes? Noticed when i had my first one some of leaves would go brown if i left it in sun too long , and it was less of issue when only morning sun was used and shaded rest of the day...

They do seem to prefer part shade. Bummer that yours had issues! Mine was from Home Depot and seems to be doing okay

What is a Zone 6b? How do I find out which one is where I live?
@thecottagepeach21 күн бұрын
It's my USDA growing zone, you can find yours by googling your zip code + "usda grow zone" if you're in the USA

It's hard to find information on growing and harvesting your own tea. I got a tea plant as a gift and used camellia fertilizer on it, but it died right away. I've been able to grow blueberries without testing soil pH, but tea has been trickier.
