In today's episode of my Edible Garden I'll be talking to you about growing tiger nuts in the UK. I will also be showing you some tiger nuts that i grew last year, and footage of the process involved.
In our next episode of my edible garden, I will introduce you to a plant called Strawberry stick spinach - or spinach berry sticks, which I grow in the UK.

Hi Thanks for the video. At long last I have seen from start to finish on growing these tiger nuts as I just started to grow them before your video, am now a bit more informative. Have you tried growing Orcas after harvesting you can roast them. Thanks Emmet.

My first year growing these as well (in 14 inch pots). Advice from suppliers said leave them for frost to kill off,then harvest. Mine were a bit bigger than yours so think that was why. PS, like the Slow worm addendum !

You are absolutely right Jeff. The last few tubs we left to over winter produced much bigger tiger nuts. They're so much fun to grow. It is lovely to see others are growing tiger nuts too. Thank you so much for your support and comment

Thank you Val - in all honesty lovey.....I was shocked myself the 1st time we grew these too! We are near London in the UK so I was skeptical. I would 100% try growing your own - very easy plant to maintain.

You are most welcome. I would 100% recommend trying to grow your own tiger nuts lovey, I was pleasantly surprised with our 1st few crops - I'm not sure i even expected them to grow in the UK. Where do you get the seeds or do you plant them from your harvested seeds

You pretty much plant the nuts themselves. Soak the nuts for 24 hours , put them in a pot, and hope for the best 👍🏿
