@@bikeradycbr I’m waiting for them to ask me to change the mosfets on the new one that packed up. My eye sight and big fingers are no good for this kind of work.

@@Bensgarage looks like a lot of mosfets to change to and it'll multi layer board too so you need to be careful, bad if they don't have support for there products!

@@bikeradycbr I've told them I'm not soldering anything, they either replace with new or money back. I fitted the mother board in the Growatt as it was out of warranty, but this one had only been up for eight months. The only support you get is via email, trying to get me to diagnose the problem. The trouble with going cheap.

I’m surprised they don’t have dust filters on for something that runs 24/7. All that dust in the growatt might be why it died originally 🤔

Could well be the reason it went Kaput. I think I have seen some high end inverters with some kind of filter. Gaffer tape and a bit of tight mesh will have to do. Also it might be an idea for some six monthly maintenance, pull the front cover and give it a blow out 👍.

You should not restrict the airflow coming in to cool the Growatt. Just blow it out every six months or as needed.

u have mounted the unit flush-- space it back like 20mm as there are cooling holes in the back

I found that most issues with this inverter have one thing in common, they are all grid tied. The ones that are standalone seem to last a lot more...

HI Ben please help me, how did you set the dip switches on the battery for the growatt inverter to communicate with the battery.

I have all dip switches set to off, using the can socket on both the inverter and the battery. Also make sure you have the correct battery protocol set in your inverter menu.
