DeBacco is the best in depth but at the same time short format channel out there. It's incredible, the amount of valuable and not regurgitated info that comes out in a few minutes video. Hats off, hands down - the best!❤

I switched to coco with powder nutrients and a bit of bio action for indoor growing a few years ago. My top tip for today: make your own pH pen storage solution to extend the life of your pH pen. Buy a bottle of pH buffer solution to calibrate the pen (I use 7 pH) and mix some with potassium chloride (KCL) to make a storage solution.

Whats up ? For the past 25 years I've been mixing my own nute solutions. What I mean by that is. I have a little bag of N, a little bag of P, K, calmag, silica, microbes and so on. This way I can give my plants what they need at certain stages of growth. Instead of force feeding my plants things they don't need at different stages of growth, like with bottled nutes. This made a huge difference in my grows. Plus I'm only spending a tenth of what I was spending on nutes. Anyway what I do is when I put my plants into 12/12. I kick up my P a little to my reg. Solution for 6 weeks. And what I mean by a little is, with the powder I use it only takes a eighth of a teaspoon. And then in the last 4 weeks of 12/12 I kick up my K a little bit. It's made a huge difference in how fat my buds get them last 4 weeks.
@7munkee4 күн бұрын
@@assog5737 Sounds similar to what I do but I use meals. I use a sprouted seed meal when I mix my soil up along with several cups of worm castings and kelp meal. About 3 weeks before I flip to flower, I add 1/4 cup of bone meal. 2 weeks into flower I add 1/2 cup of wood ash. My question was for the general audience, not me personally. ;)

@johnboykin3128 I've been convinced also however, how about 14 months ago I was walking around the mall in South Burlington Vermont that's right off the interstate I was walking my dogs letting him go to the bathroom. I don't know where that stuff came from but that's the closest I've seen in the last 20 years

If my personal experiences, folks that I learned how to grow from back in the early eighties and late 70s will not allow their favorite lines out anymore because Paul and chukars bottleneck a lot of good lines. If it's out there it's just with people that don't want to share it with the mainstream greedy cannabis elitist douchebags
@jonathanschadenfreude96035 күн бұрын
I look at really really good lines that we had like Christmas tree buds skunk but they're really good Afghani and then as those lines progressed out of those you saw people pulling gorilla glue 4, girl scout cookies... Look at the lines now compared to what they were when they first came out. It's sad

ahh I miss the real skunk and xmas bud only came around once in while otherwise it was just the old nasty nasty brick weed but that skunk we treasured it youd have it in a bag in another bag inside another bag and everybody still knew you had that fire 🔥

Does anyone have an idea what is used to buffer potassium silicate when being in pure form or maybe diluted 1:1 with water? There are some products on the market but they only claim to have some kind of buffer in them, but specifically for potassium silicate I couldn't found one.
@dertythegrower5 күн бұрын
Not that. Msa silica, learn. silica always goes in the resovoir mix first

Boric acid , sorbitol and pure water using a mangetic stirrer and some potassium silicate ( Armor Si will make a 3% orthosilicic acid. You can make 2 gallons of Power Si with a few simple steps and thirds ingredients for the price of 1 qt of Armor Si. S savings of 175$

Isn’t 5.8 better for hydro even 5.5 in dwc and aero
@dertythegrower5 күн бұрын
just keep it around 6. 6.2 is also better and gives more uptake of some minerals. It depends on a broad range but most commercial growers keep it at 5.8 to 6.2, aka 6 like i said
@dertythegrower5 күн бұрын
ph mineral chart... one for hydro and one for soil.. it depends on if you want more calcium or nitrogen, etc... you wont see major difference between 6 or 6.2 also
@juniperpansy5 күн бұрын
Hydro pH increases over time. It doesn't remain exact. Basically it is something like pH down to 5.5 then wait a few days until it raises to about 6.5. Then add pH down to get it back to 5.5. Repeat. Different pH values are optimal for different nutrients and having pH drifting through this whole range is beneficial
