Ask yourself that question and pray to the Lord for an answer. If you read the Bible, it's usually guys and girls that have been through really tough situations. That doesn't mean put yourself in one , but be thankful for everyday and breath you have.

Don’t give up! Sometimes losing the desire to read and pray is a snare planted by the enemy! Keep reading and pray that God increases your desire for him. Keep fellowshipping/talking to Him daily: I went through something similar and had to push through and pray about it. Eventually the desire and my love for Him was renewed. Remember, those who endure to the end will be saved!

You're fighting a spiritual battle. Pray to God and ask him if there is a demonic power or principality holding you back, and then ask him what it is. Before reading the Word of God, here are a few tips that will truly help you to turn your bible study into an enjoyable and exciting time. It will transform your mind, and bring you closer to Jesus. And will leave you excited, and looking forward to doing it daily. I usually pray first, just talking to Him as a friend, telling Him about my day. No special words. Just developing a relationship, which is what He desires. Then I will open my bible, and before I read, I ask the Holy Spirit to join me in fellowship, and to help me understand as i read, to grant me wisdom, to give me the desire to read, to help me enjoy it, and to change my heart as I read. I also ask the Holy Spirit to bring it to life, to apply it to my life, and ask Him to speak to me through scripture. You see, when you involve the Holy Spirit in your reading, that is what he desires to do, and will reveal Himself through scripture, and you will begin to learn, and to absorb it, because the Holy Spirit will make it come alive in you, which is part of the relationship between you and Jesus. He wants to be invited, and wants to help you learn. Once you invite Him, He will respond, and become more real than ever before. He will guide you to scriptures that you needed to read at that moment. That is one way God speaks to you. You will then realize the joy in reading Gods word, instead of an obligation. It makes a huge difference. Try it, and you will see what a difference it makes. And when the Lord speaks to you through scripture, highlight it, so you can always go back and remember what He had spoken to you. I have truly gotten closer to the Lord by doing that, and I know it will help you as well. It should be enjoyable growing closer to Jesus. It should not be a chore and a struggle all the time. Dont forget that the Holy Spirit is right there with you, you are not alone. Be blessed

I feel so blessed I want to cry that God chose me and looking back I see how he has always had his hand on me and when I strayed he always pulled me back but on the other hand I’m confused because does that mean that when people are not Christians, it isn’t because they are not choosing Jesus but it’s because God hasn’t chosen them? When I pray for loved ones salvation, instead of me praying that they open their hearts to Jesus, should I rather pray to the Father to choose them, in Jesus name? Even though this doesn’t make sense to me, I have learned it doesn’t have to because Gods ways are not our ways and our thoughts are not Gods thoughts, he has a plan and reasons for things that we can’t always understand until we are with him and have all the knowledge and understanding but while on earth we have limitations of what we know so I don’t necessarily have to understand why it’s God choosing or if that means it’s not necessarily non believers fault if they don’t believe because it’s because God didn’t choose them but I want to know if I should be praying differently for the non believers into he world than what I do now
