Hi Kyle, I thought for sure I would see peas. I live in Auburn right up the road from you. I planted pole for the peas and a bush variety for the shoots. I don't know why I never thought of carrots this time of year but it's logical being that it gets hot so quick. I too got a late start because of the fires but more from a health perspective. We has very low visibility for weeks the smoke was so thick. Thank you for your service Kyle. I don't know how you do it. We deeply appreciate all our police and fire for keeping us safe.

Stir fry swiss chard with cubed sweet pie pumpkin and some sweet fresh onion... soooo good! I also add swiss chard to pasta sauce, eggs, pretty much anything most people would add spinach to. Experimenting with the best tomato pruning for 19 years in San Diego, growing on steep slope. 4’x 8’ steel mesh from HD (used for concrete) - sits in between two stakes vertically, 20” above ground. Clips. Let grow first 2 shoots of each tomato plant = three trunks tomato plants. Next 2-3 shoots let root in water - future plants. All the next shoots on three stems let grow to the first bloom, than cut tips off. So far this gives me the best crop. I do not prune cherry tomato.

Nice! I shot my fall planting video about the same time, and I'm also about a month in a half behind, but mainly because of a back injury. I wish I had the luxury of just cutting my nightshade and other plants rather than pulling them up. Unfortunately around here in S. Florida we have root knot nematodes. So I solarize my beds every summer. But I love the idea of no-till when possible. I love your indoor grow system too. And yes, I'm also glad you're back and safe!

I grew some pretty big butternut type squash this past summer.
