Let's not put gender roles to working with tools (and gardening). It's not something that's 'masculine', it's just something we have attributed to men doing it which is why we think that way. Anyone can do it and be good at it.

I am a plant biologist and according to my knowledge the banana plant is grown asexually i.e. we never use seeds for it.

Alamanda is not going to cover the space unlike other creeper. It gets bushier over time but it will not go up with the help of any such trallies. It just need a little support like sticks to grow up. Currect me if I am wrong.

Hi Tanya, to grow banana plant you need rhizome which you can get from any nursery. Banana you have planted will get funges in few days.
