Make sure you have good suckers chop/trim all the roots off to expose the white part of you see black spots you know you have weevils if not you plant it. Keep a space of 2 ft around the hole to prevent weevil don't add mulch near the stem weevils don't like sunshine maintain well and you should have little problem
