Try a fan on the seedlings when inside to make them stronger right from the beginning

I have done that some in the past, although with my current setup I don't have as much room. I usually try to remember to just brush over them with my hand a few times a day, although a fan definitely works better.

It is possible your plants need a little stronger sun or less competition from neighboring plants. In their search for light they will grow longer and therefore liable to fall over. I am envious and want to try this.

Its possible. The fence they grow next to shades in the morning, but they do have full sun throughout the afternoon until about 5 or 6pm, but another couple hours probably wouldn't hurt. I did them again this year and just used some twine tied to the fence to give them some additional support and that seemed to work.

Definitely a fun plant to grow. I plan on continuing to grow these each year from now on.

Thanks for all the info, im in the south and excited to see what happens to mine i just dont know how to clean the cotton after harvesting

Cleaning can be a little tedious, although there are videos out there that show how to make your own mini cotton gin. I have a video in my cotton playlist as well that shows how we process ours.

The fields of cotton are dead and use fertiliser and deadrients (dead nutrients) with herbicides and pesticides. Your garden will be more organic and productive than their dead poisoned fields. Cheers for the uploads
