Best of luck with the lawn. The cows and bikes are frustrating for sure.

It's the location of your property - a corner. Dudes will always take the short cut across the lawn. You could put in a beautiful flowering hedge about the front of your property. That'd look great & prevent intruders - idiots - abusing your fine ornamental lawn. Level out the bike ruts & hoof treads & reseed. Love that mower - you did a fine job restoring that machine, sir.

I also live on an open corner lot and I get the bike tracks as well (no roaming cows, though!). Many times I wanted to email you to ask you if you worried about vandalous behavior because too many idiots will see your beautiful lawn as a blank slate to leave their mark (IDIOTS!)....I didn't want to bring it up publicly to avoid the power of suggestion, but here we are. I'd love to hear suggested solutions from the masses. Glad you have a security camera!

I have to say I am very impressed with how mellow you handled this on camera. If it were me I wouldn't be capable of being filmed for a while since I would still be fuming. In all of the time that you have been shooting videos you have never mentioned anything like this happening to you so I suspect the idiots on the cart did it deliberately. I am so sorry that it happened but I know being the Lawn Rebel that you will have the front lawn back to all it's glory in a short time. Kudos to you Mr. Ward for handling this with the dignity that you did.

Great choice of music on this video Connor. Those dahlias are definitely amazing. But since the manly diesel truck wasn't in sight, he decided he better book it out of there.

Very good videos...I'm UK based and the Englishmen like their garden...Especially the lawns...I spend many hours doing what you do and my heart went out to you for the cycle incident...what I would do is get carpet gripper and secretly lift your edge of the lawn at the edge of the pavers and wallop, spikes in tyres, flat, flat,flat and flat...now you say what about the cows well they would not be harmed because they have a foot like a horse and can take the depth of the spikes.....also a gun post at each end just in case.....keep up the good work

@swimbait15 жыл бұрын
I’ve seeded lots of lawns and have never done it like you did. An interesting process and it best of all it worked!!! One thing I couldn’t tell is after you power raked is if you had some exposed soil. Normally I do what you did until I start seeing some soil but it looked like you literally threw er down on top of the existing sod base. Yes?

Put carpet gripper strips around the edge of the lawn. Short enough to mow over . Long enough to pierce tyres
@Young_Star5 жыл бұрын
A guy in my area put big boulders along a spot where snowmobilers used to always cut through his yard. Looks like they are spaced out just enough for him to mow around. It is an odd behavior people have, once one tire track is left in the lawn, several others start cutting through too. I observed the same thing with keeping the inside of a car clean. As long as there isn't any trash people will go out of there way not to leave anything, once there is just one thing left then they get lazy.

Hey Connor, seeing the bikes and cows in person when it was happening would be infuriating, but there’s something about watching it on a security camera with you talking that makes it epically hilarious. Nice sidewinder btw. Also, wouldn’t it be a better end result to top dress and re seed the bike strips instead of tamping? Just a thought. I deal more with warm season grass, but I know Kentucky blue enjoys a good bit of sand as well.

They make a tool that a lot of golf courses have to fix ball marks on greens that you using standing up that pulls it up the marks. Could work well for hoof marks. Though you should get a motion sensor sprinkler system that turns on if it senses motion so bicycles would get sprayed with water if they come on your lawn like that
