Growing Kohlrabi Time Lapse - Seed to Harvesting Bulb in 66 Days

Time lapse of germinating and growing Kohlrabi from seed to harvesting bulb stem over 66 days. This early white Vienna Kohlrabi variety is also known as German Turnip. This plant is easy to grow in container, and need 6+ hours of full sun to thrive healthy.
To grow Kohlrabi in pots:
Choose an 8 - 12 inches pot and fill it with potting mix soil (pH around 6.0 to 7.0).
Sow a seed from 1/4 to 1/2 inch deep.
Plant in full sun area.
Water regularly to keep the soil moist, adjust and increase water gradually as bulb is developing.
Ready to harvest by 50 - 65 days.

Fun fact: Kohlrabis are actually not root vegetables. Theyre in the same family as broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, kale, and Brussels sprouts.

Hi there. Asking a silly question, but I recently bought a few kohlrabi bulbs about 2 inches in diameter, and each has the nub where the main root used to be. They're in the fridge right now, but I'm planning to bring them up to room temperature, take a very thin slice off at the root nub, and stick the bottoms in water while resting on the top of a suitable bottle. I'll change the water daily, but will this method encourage rooting? Would it help to add a little rooting compound powder to the water each time? What kind of soil do I need to grow them once they've rooted? Acidic? Alkaline? Well draining? I'm hopeful for growth, as there are new leaf stalks forming on the top of each bulb.

Sorry, we haven't tried this method, so we don't have an answer for this. Hope it works. About soil, kohlrabi loves loamy and well-drained soil with pH of 6-7.5.
