I live in the USA and can't find bamboo leaves and burnt rice husk. I was able to find regular rice husk but not burnt. I plan to use coco coir, coarse pumice, rice hull, orchid bark, earthworm castings, coco chips, and horticultural charcoal as a mix. I think it will be chunky and well-draining.

I just received my bamboo leaves and am ready to give this a try. I got the rice husks and burnt rice husks from Amazon. They came a long way but were not expensive at all. I'm in Canada 🇨🇦 I will let you know how it goes.

@swetarajput7000 Not good at all. Killed a few calatheas because too much moisture was trapped by the leaves.

@swetarajput7000 Just stick with a high-grade soil with peat and perlite. This has been a game changer. No more un-tested methods. **And distilled water only!!**

for better result yes, but you can rice husk without sterilizing.

Waste of time watching the video no needed information shared as we stay in Hyderabad where we will get bamboo leafs or rice husk. Medium should be normal which is available for everyone .
