Growing Mycorrhizal Fungi, Part Two

This video follows an earlier film and shows transplanting bahia grass seedlings into growing containers outdoors. I'm tried this method yesterday. I prepared cooked rice in a container and wrapped them with cloth, put them inside a larger container. Then I collected some dried leaves, rotting leaves. I also pulled out some weeds and cut the stem. I wanted only the roots because mycorriza is Rich in the roots. I dumped those roots and leaves on my wrapped rice and kept them in the store room inside a closet. I will find out the result in several days. Those are indigenous just within the backyard.👍🏼

What are the brands of seeds vermiculite and inoculant used?

@luciolambert After the grass has rooted throughout the bag for a year or so... take a cup of soil and some roots too, and mix that into your new soil. Roughly 5 gal new soil per cup of inoculate. Basically you are transplanting a living culture. If I wasn't too clear or if this feller dosn't answer you, you can message me here for more details.

Yes but will it be mycorrhizal fungi? They only grow on roots.

@luciolambert i would want to plant in new soil because after a year of grass growth some of the minerals will be depleated from that soil. by only introducing a cup of the used soil (inoculate) you have less risk of undesirable things like insects an pathogens. if you care about what you are growing you should not reuse soil from container plants. you also have a steady batch to use this way, for future plantings.

If i go to the store and pic up mycorrhizae mix it well into my batch of soil, thow in the oats for the starches and sugars and stew...I don't know, but I think there is a chance you could grow mycorrhizae? I don't know though yet but thats the jist of Im picking up on. I might be wrong....thanks for the video

cant you just innoculate the whole garden with a mycorrhizal brew tea? same some time and effort..i mix mykos in my soil and alaskan forest humus and some worm castings and i get a super white fuzzy root mass full of mycelium

Your tea is probably good for your soil but probably not because of the mycorrhizal fungi, unless it is growing on your weeds. The people who study mycorrhizal fungi say that they don't live in the soil without growing on or into the roots. Other fungi can live in the soil without roots. I don't know the longevity of the mycorrhizal fungi you are spraying. Perhaps they will live long enough to find your crops roots.

they are dormant till you add water..i use a mix with both mycorrizhae and bacterias.. trichoderma and other fungus like glomus they innoculate as soon as you water them in

its how most indoor organic cannabis farmers inoculate their soil. i do a i weekly brew tea..using ROOTS Oreganisms, azos and microbe life photoplus..it contains phototsynthesis helping bacteria, azos is same bacteria found in legumes roots nitrogen fixing..

I think he can mix his soil with inoculate... moisten, cover in Oats just like you might eat for breakfast and cover....let stew/mix for 2-3 months and it will be covered in funjus...ready to grow...
