Growing number of women report being punched on NYC streets

The NYPD confirms they are looking into a string of similar cases where women say they have been punched in the face on New York City streets in the middle of the day. At least one person has been arrested and charged with assault. NBC’s Stephanie Gosk reports for TODAY.

It quite literally is down though, less crimes than decades before. The thing is that social media and news do report on crimes more often and also more and more criminals are unafraid of doing their crimes in broad daylight because the justice system fails to really punish them (something that cops did better in the 70/80's than now). The problem with crime now is that repeat offenders are being released on bail and seeing little to no jailtime.
