Germinating and growing time-lapse of a pear tree from a seed to young plant. Pear seeds were extracted from a fresh store-bought fruit, with outer shells peeled-off to speed up the germination process. These seeds were wrapped with a moist paper towel and stored in our fridge for 40 days to simulate the required cold stratification. After that, we chose one seed to sow into soil. With regular watering, a seedling came up after 4 days with its first batch of leaves. The plant was growing steadily and strong for the first 2 months and then slow down due to the hindrance of its small container.
Time to transplant to the ground!
