Thanks so much. FL. First time looking up potato seed sowing. Saw them on my plants after flowering. Did not know they were poisonous. Thanks.

Nice to see that more people are working on potato breeding. I also show how I'm working on this on my KZbin channel.

Yes, I often check out your videos. I'd love to see some longer ones on your channel in the future, but I can see that you are probably terribly busy :)

Thank you so much. I'm going to try for the first time harvesting my seed, and we'll see what happens germinating them. Regards from far north California

I had some potato berries show up in my Ruth Stout patch here in Ohio, Red Pontiacs and Yukon Golds as the flowering parent plants. Looking forward to what monstrosity turns up from them. The seeds germinated well in my 10c basement under a grow light, but crivens, do the berries stink from all of the solanine in them!

I was pleasantly surprised to produce berries last year! I had to research what they were! Lol. I can’t wait to attempt to grow them!

Hi there, very interesting! I really had to run and put my saved TPS from last year into the ground although I might be a bit late (I am from Germany, btw). Have you ever made any follow up videos on the topic? Cheers and happy growing Sylvia
@gardenlarder2 жыл бұрын
Yes, there are some follow up videos. I had a big fail with them this year due to growing conditions which I went over in one vid :)

Hello, thanks for this video, I had never heard of seed pods from Potatoes before until I got some growing from mine this year. I’m from Indiana, USA. Can I grow them from seeds without drying them first? How do you dry them?
@quaysha12 жыл бұрын
There are videos that show how to do this using the ferment method. Its seems pretty straightforward and simple. There is a gentleman who suffered a stroke that offers a great how to video.

I just went through the process, planted a dozen TPS from my garden, no seedlings. Must be a sterile variety I have.

It's sad if that's the case, or maybe they are just taking a little longer. I wish you luck.
