Neema has seen first hand how deforestation has affected the environment in her village. Only 30 years ago, when she was a child, her village was surrounded by trees. Today, like much of Tanzania, it’s almost completely deforested. Ever since, and only in one generation, temperatures have risen, soils have dried out, and rainfall has grown scarce.

@@solar0wind Yes While I love trees and plants in general, I hate when people think Trees=Nature=good For instance, wetlands are extrenely efficient at supporting biodiversity and absorving carboon Than you have ocean ecossystems like lost kelp forests wich need to be restored. Even desersts can be health ecossystems (people think Saudi Arabia or Israel planting trees in the desert is a good thing) This is why, besides ecosia, I also use mossy Earth wich is an app focused on Re wilding. They are helping to restored kelp and creating wetlands
