Hi there Yes this artic blast is giving us all a run for the money.. But let me share what I did that is still working.. Now mind you we went from as low as 9 degrees in tempretures to in the 20s and now we are waking up to the 30s.. Anyhow I didn't have a hoop structure but found some aluminum structures that seemed to work well to support my first clear layer of 6 mil plastic. Over that i put a long layer of a white frost protection cloth, so yes im using a double insulation method that has been working for about 3 weeks now.. If it warms and clears up in the AM then I roll back the layers and allow the plants to sun bathe for the day but always cover them up at night again.. And yes im using the rock method to hold down the edges of the protection..BTW I've got brussel sprouts, leeks, celery, and artichokes underneith.. Thank you for the video.. I need to use more compost like you.👍

Thanks you for the info. Glad your plants are still doing good. I was thinking a double layer would definitely help. Thanks for watching
