If i was in her place by talking back to my mom I would have gotten slapped. Armando has also changed like Elieen and it's not good not only is he disrespecting his mom but he is also following in Eileen's footsteps. I love Eileen but the truth had to be told. Oh please. If you consider that overbearing then you must be extremely sheltered. Overbearing yet she decided to do what 99% of the moms from My Dream Quinceanera couldn't/didnd't do and get her daughter her OWN SHOW, overbearing yet supported her daughter when she wanted to be homeschooled because she was being bullied even though she wasn't comfortable with the idea at first (bc she put Eileen FIRST), Overbearing yet supported her moving out with her boyfriend when she was 17!!! Overbearing but takes her teenage daughter on vacations and let her drink and get lit underage.......... The only reason she's probably stressed out is that she's having to work double-time to keep everyone on track and things afloat while Rick is working hard to keep a roof over their heads, clothes on their backs, and food on the table. Remember Lourdes did stop doing makeup to manage Eileen full-time, and if she sees that her client (which daughter or not, she is) isn't stepping up when it comes to social media and her career then she's obviously going to take off that manager hat and step in as a parent to make sure her kids are taking their lives seriously. What her mom is showing is LOVE! Parents aren't perfect!!!!! When I think of overbearing I think of the extremely rough life my friend went through which lead him to take his own life just a few months ago. I'm sure he would have loved to have Lourdes as a mother. I'd understand if Lourdes forced Eileen into a specific field, didn't support her dreams or any of her kid's dreams, and was snooping in their phones/through their stuff. Yeah but she gets paid working from home which is a privilage to have, she doesn't have to wake up at 4am or come back till midnight, she's not like any other normal person, she actually has a platform. Uva gave her the wrong advice, Lourdes was probably going to ask her to pay like $500 and sure it's a lot but it's nothing compared to the rent here in California, here u have to pay like 1k or more. And all Lourdes is "demanding" is responsibility from her kids, if eileen wants to move out she can but her mom is just trying to look out for her, if eileen wants to have the adult life she could have it but just by the way she speaks she thinks its gonna be easy but it's not. She hasn't thought out anything through and I don't think any one of her family member's could actually give her good advice about this except for maybe her dad.

A lot of people move out and build better relationships with their family. Obviously idk their family dynamic bc idk what’s staged and what’s not but she could totally move out and have a couple roommates to help with rent and bills. $500 isn’t a lot here in socal, to me it was more of a respect (?) thing like they have the house and this show bc of Eileen and she’s going to ask her to pay bills AND rent? Idk maybe I misunderstood Lourdes when they showed that part last episode but she made it seem like she wanted her to pay a lot of bills. & as for being responsible, Eileen seems fine. She took the nail course (meaning that she didn’t just sit there all of quarantine doing nothing) and maybe if Lourdes actually sat down with Armando and talked instead of reprimanding and taking it out on his stuff (like his PlayStation) he’d show initiative and change. this pandemic has been hard on everyone mentally and just because she gets to work from home doesn’t mean it’s been any easier on her (or any of the kids’) mental health.

I’ve been in the same shoes Eileen has, mom started making me pay bills and rent which I didn’t mind helping because she’s done so much for me as a single mom. But I thought she was so strict, and didn’t like living under her rules. I thought helping out with bills would give me some freedom. So I moved out and got an apartment, long story short it’s so expensive, in a year span I spent around 9-10k on rent. Money to the trash basically. I could’ve used that for a down payment on a home or something. If she does move out I hope she’s smart and doesn’t throw her money away.

Love this show! ❤️ But eileen girl i went through the same thing when i was your age. i literally moved out at 18 because of the same things my mom put on me right when i turned 18. i had the same mindset. i’m 25 now & as i got older i was like duuuude. i should’ve stayed at my mommas house 😂 It is fun having freedom but adulting sucks. Once you get your own place though you’ll never want to live with anyone else again. Lol

Lulu needs a chill pill, like ASAP. She also needs to establish healthy boundaries with her kids being a helicopter parent just ends up pushes kids away, kids need to learn from their own mistakes it’s part of growing up and if things don’t work out then parents can be a helping hand.
