What are the long-term mental health implications of growing up in an era defined by insecurity and rapid change? This panel discussion will look at the impact not just of the COVID-19 pandemic and its economic aftermath on young people's wellbeing, but of other pre-existing factors affecting their mental health.

Dr Duncan Astle, Programme Leader at the MRC Cognition and Brain Sciences Unit at the University of Cambridge, will speak about his research on the impact of COVID on young people's mental health;
Brendan Burchell, Professor of the Social Sciences at the University of Cambridge, will address job security and employment issues;
Jo-Anne Dillabough, Reader in the Sociology of Youth and Global Cultures at the University of Cambridge, will talk about her research on education and inequality,
Professor Anne-Laura Harmelen, a research affiliate at the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Cambridge, will speak about her research on the long-term impact of insecurity on wellbeing and resilience.
