We went through that on Long Island with a bridge to Connecticut’. They even built the Seaford Oyster Bay expressway to get from the south shore of LI northward to the bridge. It’s a nice expressway but it ends abruptly leading to nothing.

I would love to move there. My Grandparents was from Sciacca Agrigento how long will it take me to get my citizenship? And how expensive it is to buy an apartment I went to Sicily last September fell in love with it Grandparents on my mother side is from Catania if you could, please give me some info I would appreciate it. Access to “paradise” should not be easy. I remember my first visit to Sicily approximately 25 years ago, subsequently, I visit with my family there, every other year since then. I have seen Sicily change dramatically in that time….an erosion of culture, most recently, the damage that “White Lotus” has done…an influx of people who simply want to “live” what they see on tv…slaves to pop culture…and it polluted the purity of what Sicily is.

Anyone who believes that the bridge will bring jobs in Sicily is a fool or accomplice of the only true criminal power in italy the italien political criminal system . I'm happy to hear that AL IS ALSO against the bridge . Via Regione Siciliana originally name Tasca Lanza they started that road in the early 60 up in till today 2024 is not done

Totally wrong about the bridge, how can mafia work here? The bridge is under everyone's eyes and attention, mafia won't risk it prefers to work in the darkness away from anybody's control, nobody wants to get involved in some illicit about the most discussed under construction building in Italy, politicians won't risk their career, it's illogical and even if someone will manage to cheat it means that Sicily is condamned forever to be unable to build anything? That's the way mafia will win, with an island kept constantly underdeveloped. Sicily deserves the bridge. In Italy billions and billions of money are squandered by incompetent politicians, in the last 3 years 180 BILLIONS were spent in the "superbonus", the biggest fraud in italian history to insulate houses due to the modern wrong ecological propaganda, instead of reactivate nuclear energy that is truly green and much more useful than new façades, and we are scared about a bridge? There are some other infrastructures under construction in Italy that cost also billions, why only the bridge has to be penalized by the fear of progress and bad ideological and political propaganda?
