I don’t care what anyone says, OCC on Discovery was must watch TV during their heyday. These guys built an empire out of a small garage. The staying power was short but man what a run.

Some of you people commenting don't understand some people forgive their parents of their shortcomings. That's very healing and to be able to see the humor in it is also therapeutic for some. Mikey was the one that just wanted to keep the peace! Still does! Love to Mikey!

Oh man I grew up with a grandmother my entire childhood. my mother who had two sets of kids technically abandoned them all for her own selfish reasons was seen around maybe twice a year, my dad (who had his own checkered past up in New York prior to him moving to my state and meeting my mom) I guess did the best he could when he was around, took kind of a toll on my childhood in an extremely negative way but FORTUNATELY by the time I was in my 20’s it hit me. Those parents weren’t perfect but 1. it only reinforced/proved the love my grandmother had for me and ultimately showed that I was worth something regardless of the struggle she had to apply in order to show it. 2. I grew up with what I feel was a great generational balance between X (me) silent (my grandmother) 3. I grew up to be a good judge of character that had never let me down. During rare conversations, about the topic, I remember my grandmother casually telling me that it might not be in the most traditional form, but those parents will one day be there and I better be ready to make the best of it because that’s the time that would count despite today being today. And she was right.. regardless of reason (I don’t care) by the time I reached my early 40’s lol both of my parents in their older age decided that it was time to get back together and actually get married and live what time they had left together. We all maintained a consistent relationship and saw each other on a daily basis. They both passed away around 10 years ago, but my brother and half brothers were all Abel to reconcile any differences or hard feelings before it happened….thankfully one again, I was able to reconcile mine over 20 something years ago.

Paul , so glad you mentioned the Christmas Bike episode when Mikey made the Christmas Ornament with a picture of you taped to it. That was one of my favorite episodes. No matter how hard you tried to be serious, you couldn't do it because Mikey would always make you start cracking up laughing. That episode really showed a Fathers love for his son. God Bless and I hope all is well...

Thanks for the drinks at Sweeneys and great conversations!! You are a Great Soul and I'm sure you have your own memories of those days gone past. Nothing negative to say about Mikey!! I hope you're living your Best life now like we all are! ❤

The goofy ones are often the most mature. 2 important things that Mike does here. He doesn't enable, he points out it was hurtful to him, and he's not hostile about it, which allows for more healing. It's very tough to not enable and it's very tough to not let resentment take over. Good on y'all for still trying.

I love you guys. Love you Mike, and Paul Sr. I think we’re all just on a journey to find out what really matters to us individually. When we get older IMO, our memories are the sum total of our life’s experiences, they’re the museum, or collection of our life’s learning and failures. I think when we get older we come to grips with our past life’s mistakes and successes. Our reflection IMO hyper focuses on what we could have done better, or hyper focus reflecting on satisfying moments that made our life and, or others better. Sometimes the record plays over and over again especially on failure, which isn’t the most healthy, and can be crippling, but it’s necessary to a point. We must realize we aren’t perfect and we did the best with what we knew at the time. Moving forward at any age is important, learning to Just Be, and after hours days years of reflection, we must heal and be considerate to ourselves, and being grateful for the opportunity of having the option to change the script if we choose.

Mickey made that show, along with Vinny & Rick. Paul Jr doesn't have the emotional intelligence of his brother, not to to knock him for that, as growing up in an abusive home is never anyone's choice and he lashed out where Mikey went inward. The fabrication was my favorite part, and still is.
