Growing Zebra Grass

I used to grow this in the ground at my previous home and they did fantastic. Now because of the grading in my current lawn I would like to grow them in a planter but still get them to a full height and spread. What size pot would you recommend?

I just bought one of these this year on a sale price. I'm trying it in a container to see if it will survive the winter there. I under-planted it with some trailing sedums.

My myscanthus this year has no yellow strips... Don't know why.
