Ex pat that got tired of Canadian winters and moved here 32 years ago....when no paved roads in Playa Del Carmen. Cozumel is very family orientated and doesn't get the Spring Break Kids here. The ones that do come, are here for the diving and snorkeling. Chen Rio means...Almost a River in Mayan. The west side of the road (across from the restaurant)has a lagoon with crocodiles. Cozumel is considered the 1 tourist destination in Mexico...because of the cruise ships. When the cruise ship people leave,the island returns to its quiet self. There are many Gourmet restaurants here and not expensive! Nice video👍

Friday, July 26, 2019. Beeaauutiifuul, really I have enjoyed this video which I think is one of the best. By the way, I will tell you here which video I have seen that I disliked very much and that was...."El Tunco, playa en El Salvador", it was and is one ugly playa in El Salvador, where the gray and black colors made me feel to dislike it. Also, as you ask for more information about the ones that write a comment, I'll tell you, I was born in El Salvador, in a small city called La Union, just in front of the Gulf of Fonseca. My dad was a train conductor assigned to work receiving the cargo from the ships that arrived at the port of Cutuco and my mother had me when they, my father and mother were living there. The railroad company was an American named the International Railroads of Central America whose headquarters were located here in the USA. The Company closed business in the 70's. I spent my childhood and my young years in El Salvador, and there it was, when I was young, already studying High School, by the years 1957/58 when I received an insult from a teacher in front of all my fellow students that I don't think "it has happened to any other student in the whole world", and it was, the insult, such an ugly one that I can not mention it in here. I almost fainted when I heard it!!! That makes me to dislike the people of El Salvador, though the country, the physical geographical one has many beautiful places to visit that you could not have the luck to visit. Maybe some other time. In regard to Cozumel, I'll tell you, I live in Los Angeles, California and I have been living here for about 50 years, since when my father retired from the company he asked to be sent to Los Angeles and since then I came with my father and mother and a younger brother to live here in Los Angeles, all of them mentioned have already passed away and I am still here and getting old and old and old. My wife for about 35 years passed away about 10 years ago. Now I am just waiting for me to leave this world but before, I am enjoying your videos. About 25 years ago I visited Cancun, Quintana Roo, by the way, the "o" in Quintana Roo is pronounced "O" like when you say OH my god!!! You don't say Quintana Ru, but it should be Quintana Roo!!! I invited my wife to come with me for this vacation but she said that she could not come with me because she had too much work to do. Well, I had already paid in advance and could not cancel and decided to go alone. Here in Los Angeles, when I went to my seat in the plane. Surprise! The person that got the seat at my side was a French Actor very famous in France and I think in the world of movies, the actors name was Alain Delon, he told me that he liked to come to Cozumel to practice Diving wearing all the paraphernalia, Oxigen tanks, special watches, etc. and now, you Chantal mentioned in this video that Jacques Cousteau also liked Cozumel for Diving, and etc. etc..Well Jacques Cousteau is a famous French Oceanographer, and Scientific person dedicated to studying the oceans. I think that MR. Jacques Cousteau has already passed away. Well!, I cannot invite you to visit me at my house in Los Angeles, because I live in a very pretty small and ugly house, and I live very, very messy place crowded with lots of cardboard boxes, books, clothing, etc. in a disorderly way. One of my sons says that I am like a rat cluttering my living place with all types of trash, that to me seems not to be trash but something that one day, yes, one day...one day... I am lol, LOL, I will never use but who knows? Who knows? This totally funny!!! LOL. Thanks for your video and please give my embrace and a kiss to all, even your grandma, grandpa, husband, and who is missing? Ah!!! To all the girls Chloe, Julia and, Angelic. Bye, bye. Yucatan comes from Yuca the root that you have eaten and tastes delicious! I also know that the first name of Havana capital of Cuba was Puerto Carenas, because it was the port used to bring the ships for carening which is repairs preventing water from the sea going inside the ships. But Carena is a Spanish word, not English. Bye! Bye!!! "
@PeterRoseman5 жыл бұрын
Total (well, not TOTAL) misrepresentation. I go to Cozumel about 4x/year. Any diver knows that the reef is second only in beauty and fame, to the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. Why NO mention of that?? Why is at least 80% of your vid focused on eating and the crap they sell to tourists, gotten in ANY cruz port??? Why not show the sweetness, the profundity of San Gervasio Ruins?? Why not the Museo?? How about the beauty of the REAL culture or the chapels?? ...or the Sea Turtles Hatching in which you can participate in setting them free??? How about the miles and miles of pristine, NON-touristy beaches??? Cozumel is NOT only a Caribbean Cruz boat trap (that represents a HUGE part of Cozumel's income, yes, nothing of it's personality!), and is also one of the sweetest, most natural places left on Earth too!! I'm sorry you guys missed this part. How about another vid showing THAT?!
