You and all other appreciative reactors are helping our Filipino talents get there. Just give it a little more time. Soon, US music standards will not be the world music standard anymore and focus will shift to where it is due. The Philippines needs more modern singers who write their own modern music, like SB19.

I feel what you're saying. But i know people who worked in the music industry here in the US, & its a dirty business. Some people become A-lsters bc they have to do certain things to become popular. Before i knew about this, I too had wanted these singers to become famous in the US & worldwide, but not anymore. The US music industry does know about the talents in the Philippines for a long time now, & they did try but nothing came of it. Tommy Motolla (head of Sony) invited Regine Velasquez to the US in the 90s but it fell through. Some silly story later came out that marijuana was found in one of her luggages in the airport, & so Tommy didnt want to work with her anymore lol! Could be true, or not true that she had mj with her, but people know how much drugs is involved in the music industry (as well as sex, abuse & many more). Then Rhett Butler (he produced many big time artists including Mariah) invited Morissette to Capitol Records 3 yrs ago to do a demo & nothing came of it. I guess we will never really know the real reasons, but maybe the producers figured their personalities are not suited for the industry. Or maybe the singers didnt like the things written on the contracts. Well Im glad nothing came of those bc i dont want them corrupted. Oops sorry for the long schpiel, but youve been mentioning about these things in many of your videos, & just wanted to share my thoughts. I'm going to request a couple of videos, but I'll put in the comment below coz this is getting too long. Btw, happy holidays!

Are you sure it's Regine Velasquez? I have never heard Regine getting involved in marijuana or any illegal drugs/substance! It's obviously not true because Regine takes care of her voice very well, she definitely wouldn't do anything that would ruin her voice. Regine is so kind and wholesome to be involved in marijuana or any illegal drug scandal. This is actually the first time I've heard of this, lol!

@@rm_alfaro yeah it was Regine. I read about this on the internet a long, long time ago. I mean this happened in the 90s. As I said, I actually don't care if it's true or not. I mean if its true, its so silly. It's just marijuana, not heroin lol! I remember it said she uses it because she has migraines & also suffers from intermittent depression. Marijuana actually has medicinal properties. Indigenous cultures have been using it since ancient times. But people in the modern world don't know how to use it properly, then they abuse it, then it becomes a problem. Also, I don't judge people who use drugs or alcohol. It doesn't have anything to do with being nice or wholesome. People do it for different reasons, usually because of some underlying issue like depression, PTSD, etc, & people are using it to self-medicate. Many times Regine has been invited by some famous people. Like when Macintosh invited her to audition for Miss Saigon in the 90s, but she turned it down bc it meant she was going to be away from home & her family for a long time. And she already had an established career in the Philippines. Then the legendary Michel Legrand also wanted her to record his classic compositions in France. That fell through as well. I don't know what the story is behind that one.
