The best tutorial video I've seen on a kaboom. All other videos just say "throw your legs down and and then just go for it and you have it". But you actually taught me steps in order to do it, instead of saying "just go for it" like most other videos. Congrats man on a great video and thank you so much!

thanks sam! I really appreciate your feedback. I was taught with out steps and i can see from experience that it just increases risk and causes bad technique that limits the athlete so a step by step visual concept is mandatory in my opinion

yo greg when you land on your back in any skill do you let your head rest on the trampoline or have it up off the trampoline? love the back kaboom, I have so much fun with it!
@mayinjur8 жыл бұрын
both landing styles are acceptable but, as Greg points out in this video, for kids with low muscle control or strength in the neck/shoulders it can be uncomfortable or painful to raise the head during back landing skills. Often kids will say they are worried that letting their head touch the trampoline is scary and this is because they don't understand how the distribution of weight during impact works. At our club, because of how a raised position can impact the travel of skills like ballouts, we encourage kids to learn back landings with their head touching the trampoline. If that is scary then they may learn it with head raised and then re-learn it with the head touching, preferably soon after to avoid the head raising becoming a habit! May seem a bit strange to consider skills like ballouts when learning 'easy' skills like back landings but trampoline is a good example of foundational progression; if you learned the basics with the complex in-mind, the complex isn't much harder.
@flippertvofficial8 жыл бұрын
again i agree 100%
@CraigFyfe8 жыл бұрын
Greg Roe cool, I land my back landing and ballouts etc with my head raised as I feel it gives me more sight which in turn give me more awareness. but of course each and every person will be different in what they feel comfortable.

How do you spin faster on kabooms? Like if I spin really slow on a kaboom and want to spin faster so I can do double kabooms thanks Mr. Roe
@mayinjur8 жыл бұрын
If you're aiming to do double back kabooms it's helpful to be able to do a single back kaboom in the straight position first. If you can do that confidently and consistently then starting the kaboom in the straight position and changing into a tight ball shape (tucked) will increase your rotational speed (you'll spin faster) in order to get a double kaboom. Can't stress enough that if you go for this its best to have someone there to tell you what your shape is like during single kabooms (or record them yourself) before trying to do a double.
@flippertvofficial8 жыл бұрын
i agree 100%

Does anyone know the name (Or if there even is a name(I made it up myself but it probably already exists)) for this trick: You stand up and do a 3/4 flip to your back and then you do a 180 and tuck so you do a 3/4 backflip from you back with a 180 in the beginning (or with a 360). I just tried it and it is scary the first time but after awhile it is a really fun thing.
