You could try some of the relic rts games sometime, like the DoW series, the old CoHs and the homeworlds. They are really unique.

I got sucked into this game. Best moment to moment gameplay for any rts I ever played as far as 1v1 mp goes.

I'm really digging CoH3 so far. Most of the negative reviews are about the sound design not being as good as the previous ones and the campaign being boring. That's pretty good for bad reviews! I actually had a blast with the campaign, even though the default difficulty is way too easy. The grid hotkey support was super easy to setup too and load times are great for me on SSD... It's hard to think of anything negative. The multiplayer UI feels clunky and doesn't promote communication. I'd rather have an absolute cesspool of a general chat than none at all.

A lot of stuff to unlearn from other RTS games. Activating HE rounds against another tank hurt a bit. But easy mistake to make if you're used to Starcraft or MOBAs. It's like switching to magic damage against someone with 90% magic resist.

Company of Heroes was the second RTS I tried after playing Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle Earth 2!

@@DavidDuchodca Ah, when you're just getting started you don't know what's what. You assume the newest one is the best because of course they learned from the mistakes of development... right? I also played BfME2 and not 1.

Lotr Battle for Middle Earth 2 is a lost gem. It's a bummer that they don't sell it anymore.

I loved CoH 2 until dlc pay to win commanders arrived that killed the entire game for me, still miss it

Game needed another year in the oven. Best case is it takes the CoH2 route and eventually morphs into something great. Unfortunately the graphics and sound are really half baked, and those are the kinds of things that developers won't spend the money to redo.

When capturing points, you can use shift+right click on the ~minimap~ to more easily issue capture waypoints. No need to pan your camera to each objective.

Honestly, I think its about time Company of Heroes moved to other wars. Why not WW1? Why not Korean War? Why not Vietnam? It’s always WW2. I understand WW2 had a huge significance, but come on… they should shake it up a bit. Besides all that. The gameplay looks fire.

44:58 - I feel a massive disconnection between effect and damage. Super powerful explosion making only 20% (?) to the light truck :V Seeing such epic effect I would expect 1 shot so light vehicle ;_;

All my friends who loved coh1 and still torture themselves with coh 2 regularly said this is even worse lol

@@ZealothPL I played it about 1.5 years ago and years before that on and off, probably one time a year and COH1 was pretty fun and still balanced in skirmish maps vs AI. I recently reinstalled it for another few skirmishs and I noticed they changed the balance entirely again, GER is completely overpowered and AI cheats worse. Now the game is unbalanced and only specific strategies can win, they've always been very bad at listening to player feedback. I consider the game ruined at this point.

I hope Dawn of War comes back at some point. CoH is fine, but the realistic military aesthetic doesn't do it for me. Specially not in an RTS, I need things to be visually distinct.

You should try Steel Divison 2. it is very micro intensive and has complex attack and defend system like Wc3. The game it self is not well populated but I do enjoy watching the tournament games like in Back2Warcraft.

Watching you almost lose because you refuse to just sit anyone in the giant red stars on your screen is infuriating. Reminds me of the mobile game ads where someone plays poorly on purpose to make you install it and play "better". Watched the whole thing, good ad.

This is really painful to watch. Please go play COH 1 like the old games and you are going to understand it a bit better and for the love of god play some tutorial missions :) I would suggest that you try World in Conflict and Joint Task Force (Old games but really interesting and enjoyable) Cheers!

CoH 3 isn't balanced at all. Axis are at the top of the leader boards. There's more people playing Age of Empires 2 than CoH3 if that says anything.
