He has been trying his best with the influence he has to get this game made right. He's been incredibly vocal about the issues he's seen before release. But now that it's out he can't do much but enjoy the game, continue to give his input and hope for the best.

How many preorders did they use grubby for? Even more than the fact you basically can't get a refund so far, is the nuking of classic that gets me. Nuking a game to sell a lesser version. That's like turning off ps4 to sell ps1. That's how downgraded this thing is, they let me download the game. Greyed out graphics options unless I buy Tried 1 game, uninstalled coz walking in water was jarring and distracting (I literally scanned the map like wtf, till I realized I was just walking in water) Like I said it wasn't for me anyways But after I uninstall it wouldn't let me install again. Was that a bug? It seemed to act like sc1hd but then didn't. Whatever, it's par for the course now for Activision Rip blizzard, formally the Nintendo of PC Now it's one of the many WWE of PC

I respect your oppinion on likeing the game but gameplay was never a question here. You cannot stand there oblivious to facts. The game is not working. What they promised they did not give. How can you support it when NOW the same trailer for the Culling of Stratholme is still UP on the website and ingame its a piece of trash. That is not personal oppinion. That is a FACT. You cant say that because you played beta you allready gave your oppinion. They LIED! Plain and simple. You must admit that. Not to mention the other missing features. PVP is 90% crashing Grubby! PVP! Those are your most watched videos. You know this. There is no ladder! What made WC3 playable years after release. The main menu is a Chrome APP that a junior programmer probably done on his lunchbreack. HOW can you ignore this. Like I said, all of the complaints are related to features not included that were promised and are STILL advertise and instability in the game. Gameplay is a matter of oppinion. But if a game has what was promised and if it works or not is not a matter of oppinion. Is a fact. So unless you are payed well by ActiBlizz, you should recognise these problems out of respect for your viewers and not lie to them (yes beeing neutral regarding a fact is the same as denying it). WC3 Reforged has taken the plunge...dont go down with it...

Just fans the flames. wc3 videos use to get 98% posetive rating. Now he is getting less than 50-50. The last week watching grubby play the campaign was a lot of fun. If Grubby feels he has a voice that will be listened to by Blizzard, it's reasonable for him to deliver his feedback directly to them. For others that feel deceived and ignored by Blizzard, it's reasonable to deliver that feedback via whichever means are available.

I agree. I think an angry mob has its place in giving feedback. They can help get the attention of Blizzard and hopefully they will listen. The alternative of calmly submitting feedback won't help anyways. If WoW is anything to go by then Blizz has made it very clear that they do not listen to feedback and believe they do nothing wrong (lead Dev on Twitter defending the game and seeing no issue). So odds are grubbys feedback goes to an inbox no one checks. Seeing as how little money they invested into Reforged. It's not likely they will invest more money into fixing it.

Great words Grubby! Such a positive way to conduct your criticism is rarely seen these days (as a WoW player I know how it feels to be part of a community that rages at almost toxic levels at Blizz). Personally, my only experiences with WCIII were as a child playing custom maps and last 2 months of playing Beta, so I wouldn't know much of the features lost in Reforged, but nevertheless it does really feel like a buggy game (specially multiplayer). I'm still having a blast reliving the campaign that got me so interested in this franchise lore-wise, and also following campaign chapters with your videos to get some more commentary on the gameplay. I really do hope Blizz listens to your (and everyone's) criticism and upholds the standard for games they built their name on. Either way your passion for the game really gives hope to the community, so keep it up!

To sum up my point on previous video: all the hate towards Reforged (even though it deserves it) hurts the classic game of 2002 even more than silence, and I think to fans of WC3 the main priority is for as long as possible to keep alive the game that we've loved since almost 20 years ago. Let's try not to make the situation even more miserable with hate and try to enjoy whatever we can from either Classic or Reforged. And hope that constructive critisism will make them fix at least some things. And even if they won't then still for me the Classic WC3 that we are left with will always be an exceptional game.

Do you really think Activision-Blizzard would give a shit about your reserved and quiet opinion? if what Grubby said is true, they certainly didn't give a shit about his or anyone's since these problems have been around since beta and it was released in a worse state. They obviously didn't give the designer team either the time or budget or both to make this game what it should have been and no amount of constrictive criticism would have made a difference, they had months of beta testing for that. Companies like blizzard do not give a shit about you much less your opinion no matter how reserved and "professional" you come off when expressing it, they care about your money going into there executives and shareholder's wallets. You're telling people they should hold on to a game that the community has cherished which no longer exists right now, and just stay quiet and hope blizzard fixes something they purposefully messed up, they won't if players don't express their frustration and unfortunately, negative press is one way to do it. Could you imagine if Fallout 76 players said absolutely nothing about that game when it first released? I get that Grubby has had some hate thrown his way because of how he has reacted to this whole thing, he can approach this issue how he sees fit, but people should be allowed to express frustration towards a company selling a product that is released with broken promises, missing features and purposefully taking the classic game that has more features than the "reforged" away just to force people to play this. This could of been a great start of the year for Blizzard but they have no respect for their customers due to greed.

It has been 3 years since Reforged was released, I too grew up playing Warcraft 3, spent endless hours on all campaigns and modes, and just recently installed it again and I am enjoying it again, it didnt change at all. I was too looking forward to Reforged and was dissapointed in it mostly. But what made me sick even more was the people. The community, especially people that were attacking content creators like Grubby, whom i have been watching for years,. And for no reason at all. All that hate and anger, it made me sad. After all that time, now rewatching the start of this video and hearing that amazing speech, I respect Grubby even more than I did before. Dear Grubby, please stay the same person, we love you for who you are. You truly are a gem of Warcraft 3 and we are lucky to have you. He voiced his concerns to them in a respectful and adult way that seems to be lost upon my generation. People asking him to do something he's literally never done before need to just move on. He has every right to make the most out of this situation and continue playing the same game he's been playing for 17 years. It's been a dead game for a long time with a very small dedicated fanbase. Love or hate reforged it will still have those with passion that can still find enjoyment even in the darkest of places. I for one want him to continue private communication with them in the Hope's of making solid changes. If I remember correctly, this is one of the missions where doing the optional quest actually makes it MUCH easier to finish the mission. Because if you won't, the undead will make another outpost to attack from, making it harder to survive. I remember this from the time I was playing it first time :D

I'm hopeful as well. I believe that Blizzard's ideal world would have involved more time and resources, and I don't think they'll dump the game. The intent, as far as I understand, is to revive the game long term for competitive play, which means they won't ignore the game. Hopefully they go as far as No Man's Sky.

He says something along the lines of: Being bodyblocked by critters adds variance to the outcome to the game. Therefore, if you think you have a higher chance to win than your opponent, you should kill critters. If you think you have a lower chance of winning than your opponent, you should keep critters alive.

This mission is a real challenge on hard and really keeps you occupied, the master training on priests helps since disease cloud drain all their mana and by the end you will drown in skeletons

I know they messed up a lot, and most game development mishaps are in fact decision based on multiple factors rather than "mistakes." But man, I've been having fun replaying the campaign from my childhood with the new look. I'm super casual, I suck, I wasn't into a bunch of custom games or even multiplayer, so this colours my opinion, but I think a lot of the backlash could have been avoided if they just hadn't patched over the old BNET version. Everyone could have been at least able to play the way they wanted if not happy that way.

Not only can Blizzard no longer be trusted with their own franchises, they’re trying to prevent another “Dota 2” incident via T&C’s of the editor. Dota 2 is a good game, with a success that Blizzard failed to replicate with their own moba. I’m thankful that it managed to escape their death grip and blossom under Valve. As a hardcore Blizzard fan for the last 26 years, the well of optimism in my heart has well and truly run dry.

This is why I love Grubby. I've played WC3 since 2003 as well, been playing it off an on for years. Reforged isn't nearly as good as I'd like, nor was BGEE, another game I'm deeply passionate about. But I still bought it, still played it, and while I've had just as many complaints about these remakes as everyone else, I'm still enjoying it and hoping it'll be improved. We got a movie company to redo Sonic after severe fan backlash, maybe we can make Blizz step up and give us what they promised. If you don't like it, don't play it, but also don't harass people who choose to play it and, god forbid, enjoy an imperfect product.

Ironically, I ended up getting a refund not cuz of issues with the new one, but because my computer broke and have only a dinky laptop that can't run it that well, which sucks cuz I honestly wouldn't have as much of a problem as most people and would probably have so much fun with the game and be with it as they improve it over time (which it seems like they want to, as they listened a lot in the beta but seems they just never had enough time given). I get the issues with the release that the developers can't really fix (like how it's likely activision forcing the custom game copyright shenanigans), which sucks. Glad to see you're keeping the game alive Grubby and hopefully it keeps Blizzard on the game and improving it until it's in a place where a lot of people love it.

Grubby you should number your campaign videos. It will encourage more people to watch it I think. People just prefer when they know exactly where the beginning is and so on.

I hardly remember most of the campaign from when I last played but saw some old videos of this map/mission pre-reforged and a few of the enemy attack waves included Lich heroes with the Death and Decay spell. So Blizzard removed those from the mission (at least). Does anyone know if there was much more changes in the gameplay of the campaign? I was under the impression that no changes like the one i mentioned were implemented in the first place. I definitely think the last thing that was needed was lowering the difficulty :/

@@brightestlight9462 no they definitely were removed. I played the mission myself and didn't see any. Also, the end of mission score screen shows 0 for hero kills. But i've also seen several changes now that i've played a few more missions. Just wasn't expecting changes like that.

Good video Grubby, I thought your response was mindful and well spoken. Personally, I don't have a problem with the graphics, but I do have an issue with the 20 year old user interface. I like modern features such as quick casting, select all units keys, item hotkeys, and unlimited unit size caps. I'm curious if you ever wish for these changes, which in essence, would mean more user interface bandwidth.

@@gion1988 I'm fully aware that bliz did a huge oopsy with this game, however letting emotions get in the way of actual feedback and yelling at blizzard and being toxic to youtubers, streamers, and people who actually enjoyed the thing will not solve anyone's problems, in fact it will make it worse. people need to prioritize giving intelligent criticism and feedback over whining and getting into the hate bandwagon that a lot of people (not everyone) seem to be getting on these days

Love your speech at the beginning, I love original game as well. Favorite RTSG of all time. Hope blizzard does not keep letting outside influences ruin their company because they are also my favorite gaming company, unless they stay on their current path. Thanks for addressing the elephant in the room. I too hope for the same things as you do, but am much more pessimistic due to past experiences with corporations such as Blizzard. Hopefully you turn out to be correct in this instance and Reforged is shaped into something that is worthy of carrying the legacy of the game we all grew up with, loved and cherished; though I doubt it. I love war 3 but idk about reforged. I didnt play multiplayer outside LAN. (Missing code on disc), but I did play a lot of the Custom maps. Thought about getting the new game. I think it's not worth it RN. Think I'll wait, see how it evolves.

Grubby, you're absolutely right - this release is a total failure and slap in the face of fans, but game still could be saved if passed to more responsible people in blizzard (though soul of the game will forever live in old graphics environment and old voice-over for russian locale :D ) So if guys like you can help them realize anything - this is what needs to be done
